As I said in another thread the western hemisphere's relationship with the Saudi's has been an elephant in the room going back to decades now. This transcends right/left paradigm and multiple presidents and prime ministers. There's no point turning it into a political s**t fight because probably 80 to 90% of western politicians over the last fifty years have either stayed silent and complicit or advanced Saudi interests.

Even as right now they are squeezing the west with by limiting the availability of the good oil there is still minimal pushback. This should be the main selling point to troglodytes like Morrison on the why we should continue to pushing with the move to renewables - strangle the Saud's and other gulf dictatorship of revenue.

P.S. There's been times when I'd risk 80 lashes for a sip of the sweet amber nectar.

P.P.S. Not sure if available in Australia but this doco is well worth a look from the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b09m53d9/house-of-saud-a-family-at-war - no information in there that is not available in the public domain, but puts it all together really well. Good to see a huge MSM entity finally pushing back against the corruption of the House of Saud, but gee it didn't really gain much traction over here at all.
