Peter Bell was delisted by the Dockers after 2 games... he went on to play in a premiership side, and win a best and fairest.

Shane Wakelin was delisted by a team that finished 16th, I don't see you questioning how good he is or isn't. What about James Clement and Brodie Holland, are they duds too? :rolleyes:

I have to disagree with you on this one Darky, Clement is something very special.
 
I've gotta say I've been impressed by Matthew Burton the last three or four times I've watched him. He was sensational early against us in the final last year, and really set the tone of the game. Sure he's never going to be confused with a top class footballer, but I think he's working hard at contributing around the ground so he's not exploited like he has been in the past.

As for McKernan, it's good to see another Gladdy Park boy come good :D

holland and clement werent delisted.. it was their choice to come to melbourne, freo would have kept them both if they had the chance.
Rocca was sacked..
Burton was sacked..
Wakelin was sacked..

Hang on... I think you have misunderstood what I was saying.

I reckon Clement is a very good player - quick, tall and versatile. Holland has great skills. Both will be very good players for the Pies. Wakelin is not bad (although injury prone).

PiesPremiers implied that Burton and Rocca were duds because they were delisted by lowly clubs. On the same criteria, I was questioning if he/she would use that logic to evaluate Clement, Holland and Wakelin, as they all struggled to get a game with lowly clubs.

I wasn't passing judgement on the players at all.

i'll say it again, it was clements and hollands choice to leave fremantle. they werent sacked!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were both traded to Collingwood so that Freo could get that Dud Bell... that Freo delisted a few years back... get your fact right yourself... they had no choice as to where they went as long as Freo got the deal to get Bell...

Next you will be telling me everyone wants to play for Collingwood... wake up and smell the Coffee...

Freo board are shockers...not Dockers...they wshould be de-listed.



Also ....gotta love the Sav. He'll kick a few more bombs don't worry about that....by the way did you see Ant Rocca show the ball to his tag after he shrugged him off? Ant gets attitude...cool.

Went to school with Corey (Gladstone Park SC)...although he was a three years ahead of me! Our school's then footy coach, Mr.Hanna, used to cream his jocks over him!! LOL. Barry Round's son, David who played some footy with the Western Bulldogs (now with Willy iirc), was in my year.

My backyard backs onto Gladdy Park FC...lol. Although i played my junior footy with Tulla!

I finished VCE in 1993.

I'm sure you'll remember me if we were in the same year level, there was only one nutcase Hawthorn supporter in my year.
