There are good arguments for saving Didak, and good arguments for letting him sink. The question is, what's best for Collingwood? (Didak should be able to look after himself. But of course he can't)
Unless we get a first-class trade for him, I think he's worth enough to the club to give him another chance under the following circumstances, or similar:
A stringent good-behaviour clause to be inserted in his contract again, including a no-nightclub curfew.
He must get off the drink and stay off it while he's contracted to the club. If that involves counselling & education, so be it.
He doesn't play in finals, whatever happens.
Lastly, and this is where you can help lads;
All Pies barrackers to come off the drink in sympathy. Only during the season, of course.
And if he thinks that's too tough, he can try getting a real job.
