Ok guys, I have now run o names through a list randomiser to generate the draft order. Couldn't think of a fairer way to do it.

The draft order will be as follows:

  1. CursingFijian
  2. Left_Billings
  3. Choomah
  4. PetWussy
  5. Armoooo
  6. St Kilda Death
  7. Dewah
  8. saintbatty
  9. Phoenix_9
  10. SincMagic
  11. feisty
  12. majortinkle
  13. 12Chill

  1. If we have any last minute additions they will be added to the end of the list.

No worries lad. I'll add you to the lists.

If you could just review the thread to see where we're at that would be great. And also give us a team name and colours when you get the chance.

Yeah I've already read through :thumbsu:.

I'll go with KingLonie's Knights and the colours will be black, orange and white.

Regarding the keeper league nature of the league, how many do we keep over from season to season? Because that will effect my drafting strategy

Team Name: The Feisty Fighters
Colours: Navy and Salmon

Applications now closed.

14 teams should be a great amount. Hopefully we Can get through the draft fairly quickly.

I am happy to have a soft opening of the draft now. Cursing Fijian can take his first pick whenever he wants. Time limits don't start until Monday at 9am.

Can someone quickly sum up the team structure needs?

So we pick a squad of 40 and field a best 22, does this 22 need to have the proper players in their proper positions? As in 2 KPDs and 4 general defenders?

Back pockets can come from Key Defenders or General Defenders
Full back and centre half back can only be key defenders
Flankers can only be general defenders
Wingers, centres and followers are mids only
Rucks are rucks obviously
Forward flank is general forwards only
Centre half forwards and full forwards must be key forwards
Forward pockets can be general or key forwards.

A team structure would look like this

FB: GD/KPD... KPD... GD/KPD
HB: GD... KPD... GD
C: Mid... Mid... Mid
HF: GF... KPF... GF
FF: GF/KPF... KPF... GF/KPF
R: Ruck... Mid.. Mid...
I/C: Any... Any... Any... Any...

Does anyone have a full list of KPD and general defenders etc etc or is just basic common sense/or going by 2015 supercoach positions or something?

Thanks.

I have listed the players for 2015 earlier in the thread. It goes by the prospectus classifications

We won't know at the time of drafting who will be KPP eligible but everyone will be in the same boat.

You have a list of KPD and KPF on page 2, but what about general defenders and general forwards? Is the prospectus online so that we can refer to it?

No worries. What AFL rounds are the home and away season and when are our finals? (Obviously we avoid the bye rounds, R13/14/15). And do top 2 get the first week of finals off?

Can't we play every week and play some teams twice - can do it on draft order so we get a strength of schedule year on year - random this first year of course but I doubt anyone would get too big an advantage.

Id rather play each other once. Its the fairest way. Other than the bye weeks your only missing what, 1 or 2 weeks. Its good to avoid the last round with restings, cost me $200 a few years ago.

I agree with ditching round 23 but the bye weeks test the depth of your squads - I don't see fairness being an issue - facing a team with their key players playing Carlton whereas the week before they were facing freo is likely to be a much bigger influence than who are in our squads for instance. I don't think we should be worried about a bit of randomness - keeps it interesting if you're not doing so well.

If you don't make finals you're not involved in a third of the season if you only play 14 games.
