Sounds good Armo, but what saint batty is saying makes a lot of sense. You shouldn't be punished for not wanting one of the auto selects. And waiting until 39/40 for the extra pick is a big disadvantage imo
I disagree. This is about trying to undo the damage that the two disbanding teams have caused. Allowing coaches who pass to take a pick before Round 13 commences just continues the impact.
Look at it like this, if you don't want the players available before your next pick it means that you probably weren't impacted by it anyway, so you would just be getting a free pick.
If people don't like the bottom handful of players you need to remember that this means that you would be getting one of the first hand few of picks and that is where the real drop off in quality is.
So picks 1 and 24 should net a coach a superstar and a less desiarable player.
Picks 12 and 13 should get a coach two really good prospects.
I think allowing the coach who gets pick 1 the opportunity to take another pick before round 13 is double dipping to be honest.
This isn't going to be a perfect science unfortunately. There will be a couple of teams who are likely to benefit from this more than the other teams but that will just be the luck of the draw I'm afraid.
