Teams SC 2015 - My team (During NAB)

I'm saying we don't have the high scoring certainties like we have had in the past. Goddard, McVeigh, Mitchell, Scotland, Deledio

I'm not disagreeing with you, although we never had more than a couple of those players in any on year. Yes, it's damned annoying we don't have a couple of true premium players in the backline this year, but that doesn't make all the other second tier backs suddenly useless.

I should add that I don't use that stat I mentioned earlier to tell me who's going to average over 100 ... I use it for elimination purposes. Any player who hasn't managed at least a 90 in that stat will never get into my team. I know that means I will miss out on that rare player who suddenly jumps from an 80 average to a 105 average, but it also means I won't get saddled with overhyped players like last year's Atley, Rohan, Sutcliffe, Caddy and a host of others.

The people that didn't start with Mitchell and instead spent less on a Simpson or Malceski would have won out big time. Mitchell got injured early on and ended up averaging hardly a tick over 90. McVeigh also started out quite slowly and would have been a better option as a relatively early upgrade after shedding a fair amount of his starting price.

Ahhh, the beauty of hindsight. But your right, there are never any guarantees.

Why is everyone so averse to Simpson and Malcheski?
Seems no-one is picking them up!
Gimme some reasons.
For me, too old, over the 30 age barrier.
Thing is, experiance is a wonderful thing. Both are class players, I should really back them for top defender scores.

Simpson has the tendency to pull out some shocking scores, so a lot of people will be looking for consistency.

With Malceski, last year was his first year over 100, and is most likely maxed out at that price. Given the situation with defenders people will shy away from taking a player at max price who isn't a proven stud yet. Also, the move to a new club puts a cloud over whether he can continue to produce the same SC scores.

Assuming all are named for Rd 1, I'm inclined to start Lambert, Steele & Krakouer in my midfield (bench & starting) & have 4-5 of Karnezis, Hogan, Clark, Lonie, Daniel & maybe even Lamb in my forwards.

Like the addition of Cripps although i think a 130k rookie may be an option if he doesn't look enticing.
Keep an eye out eye during the NAB, wouldn't be doing too much with it at the moment.

Im hoping Rampe can get his average up from 76 to maybe 85-90. Cripps should play most games this season. I just worry about him getting the vest

Pretty good. There's been a bit of a question mark on whether or not Macrae will get the tag without Griffen or liba though. Not telling you to not pick him necessarily, just take it into account of you haven't already

Im open to trading Macrae. I didnt think about not having Libba and Griff in his team to be honest. Might watch a Nab game to see how he goes. The other option is Sheuy. I think it falls away pretty quickly after that

You've got wines for basically the same price, then Griffin, crouch, Swallow, joey montagna and Steven as all good options ahead of shuey I would have thought. I didn't realise he had averaged that highly last year though

I see Malceski as having a massive 'spike year' in 2014 compared to the rest of his career, at least from the last 7 years. He is over priced by 70k IMHO. (I have him averaging somewhere between 90-95 this year) The 2nd-7th highest averaging Defs from 2014 averaged 95 to 92, which is really where Malceski belongs. Paying massive overs at 566k you could buy a premo mid that will average 110+ for that price.

As for Simpson, I love him & Carlton, but I can't see us being any better than bottom 4-6 this year & our crappness might affect his SC output.

Yep, that was it. I never had a problem with anyone on that board before that. I feel totally justified because I voiced my displeasure at Bootsma being selected for Rd2 in 2013. Jamie Elliot wound up kicking 5 goals on him that day in a low scoring wet game. We lost by 4 goals. I didn't even get a chance to say 'I told you so', since I was perma-banned before the game even started. All this before Bootsma struggled just playing for the Northern Bullants & sacked for sending dick pics to an underage girl. No big deal, I can't stand most Carlton supporters on BF. The SC forum Carlton supporters are all ok though.
