I think you misunderstood my comments about Jaensch. His first season of 22 games because it was his breakout season. He didn't miss games in previous seasons because of injuries or suspensions just wasn't ready for a permanent role in the side. Now he has established himself I expect him to improve his scoring and consistency so he has more upside than the other two.

That's most probable or Hendo goes back to playing that same HB role and Jaensch is moved to say HF and we put Jaensch's 2014 down to a "spike" season in his overall SC career numbers.

Cannot find a balance i like.
too many question marks.
fwd 3 are the only ones who haven't changed
I've changed a couple of things and now I'm really happy with it. But it could all be wrecked in one second once the first set of teams come out.

Is anyone else just struggling to find a team that they're happy with? I can't remember a year where picking a team was so hard.

That's my team atm, and I'm not happy with it at all. The defenders/rucks are really messing with my head this year.

Really similar structure but very different players.

My partner is doing supercoach for the first time, in a cash league with my mates and I.
This is the team shes picked. I dont actually mind it. It is probably better.

Backs: Shaw Gibson Taylor Newnes Higgins Edwards ( Goddard Saad )
Pendlebury, Fyfe, Selwood, Priddis, Griffen, Newton, Cockatoo, Heeney ( Vandenburg, Krak, Lambert )
Mumford, Goldstein ( Cox )
Gray, Martin, Salem, Clark, Saad, Steele ( Lonie, Lamb )

Partners in competition for SC, this could get ugly. :p

Harry Taylor is a big risk, IMO. I can understand the logic in picking him (averaged 94 in 2013), but his average dropped in 2014 due to his opponent/s being used as a decoy to take him away from the play. This tactic worked well and I can see it happening even more regularly in 2015.

Cant argue with you there, but Taylor has been working on his running capacity over summer, which should help even this out.

He is still in the mix for me.

At the same time, I don't think Geelong will be silly enough to allow that to happen given how dangerous Taylor is and how good he is at reading the play. They have been developing Blicavs as a backmen to help out in this way.

The risk of a defensive forward is still there though. Blicavs is still developing, so wont take too much of the pressure off Taylor early on.

Also interesting to see if they trial Stanley down back in a similar way considering Hawks and Clark seem to be the most likely tag team FWD duo at the moment.

I know the general consensus is that you give some sort of feedback to the post prior to yours, but the reality is that I'm not in a position to comment as I don't do as much research as some people here, so I'll leave the critiquing to someone better prepared. In saying that, this is my side. I need some advice because I just can't settle on the structure.

None of my rookies are safe. I've gone for a bit of a risky backline, mainly based on pre-season form. I just couldn't resist Lachie Neale. I was contemplating him pre-NAB challenge. I was sold after NAB 1, then squeezed him out, but got right back on after NAB 2. I did have Ablett and Wines, but jumped off Ablett and got Fyfe.

I've tried a few different things this year, one being having left over cash. I'm usually one of those guys who spends every cent, but I've been a bit conservative. Thoughts or any suggestions on where to go from here?

I'm not crazy about Lobbe but he's probably a POD now with Ryder there, not sure he will be as effective as last year. Be wary of Jed Anderson, he's a likely sub candidate if he does play. The first Round is also on a Monday for him so it's going to be too late to find out if he's on ground or not.

What do you think about my mids in particular? :S It just feels a bit vulnerable.

EDIT: I had Lobbe last year, and that's kind of why I jumped back on him.

I'd prefer to have super premiums rather than mid pricers that most likely won't be keepers but each to their own. You would probably be better off trying to save some money down back and upgrade one of Stevens/Neale ...but if you think they will average 110+ then keep them.

I would use up the left over cash to upgrade one of Houli/Sheppard/Neale/Steven/Lobbe

If Ryder is rubbed out Lobbe is a great pick - watch this space
other than that structure is very similar to mine so basically you're screwed;)

Any thoughts/recommendations before the lockout? They would be greatly appreciated :)
Viojo-Rainbow hasn't done enough to play R1 and Maynard doesn't seem to be in the mix for R1 either. Don't like either Leuenberger or NRoo selections much, NRoo has been injured and missed a bunch of the preseason. There are much better cheap MIDs out there than some of those you have selected.
