Teams SC 2016 - My Team (NAB Challenge)

I havent even looked at Ross but I don't have your St Kilda inside knowledge.
Yeo is my West Coast break out.
Problem is 25% of team have him too.

FWIW Ross looked really good in the pre season last year before a bad hammy tear put him out for 12 weeks or so.

Took a bit to get going again, but averaged 86 odd over the last 4 games. Inside contested ball magnet. Is having his best pre season etc. all points to a breakout, but his hammy history just holds me back from jumping on him balls and all. (That and his hell of an awkward price)

I'm not gonna decide on what to do till just before round one in any case. I kind of like my set up as it is, reckon I've got a potential 15 keepers there plus cash left over. But who knows what I'll do... Especially if I go beer for beer with you on the day of the opening game!

I wont be drinking thursday night round 1.

Gettig my team into shape is much more important.
It's NAB 1. Nobody club takes it seriously untill NAB 3.

If Ross scores well in NAB 2 and 3 and you can fit him in without downgrading a Premo go for it I say.

Yeo, Smith, Greene are my maybe's. But I'm drunk and it's NAB 1.

Sleep on it. Tomorrow if your first thought is Ross before wanting to roll over and 'cuddle' the mrs then he's a lock.

Hey mate.

I rate him. Big body that we don't have in the midfield. Richo has already stated he will play some midfield time this year. Not sure how much that will be but has gotta help his scores.

Only thing is, his ankle worries me. He tweaked it the other day and he has history with it. That's why he isn't currently in my team, but I'm holding enough cash to bring him in if he's fit round 1.

Shaw & Boyd D1 & D2
Simpson/Birchall D3
Aish/Howe D4

Also allows me to get Fyfe.

Any time. They're calling it a two weeker. But will that impact his fitness enough to stop him running through the midfield? Only time will tell

I don't have neither of those players too. Their too expensive for my liking. Their are some good mid-pricers available this year and some undervalued premos

Yep I agree, although I do have Fyfe at this stage but he's cert no lock, the others are too expensive......this may well be the year of mid pricers and fallen Premos and I for one will be taking a punt on them, it's all about risk and reward!!

I've currently got shaw, Fyfe and goldy.

Not says by they're 100% locked, but it's a hell of a lot easier to downgrade them if it comes to that than it is trying to free up cash and stuff your entire structure up later on to try to fit them in.

Yeah at the same time there's nothing wrong with picking the high priced Premos providing the rest of people's sides is well balanced.....I've just got this gut feeling this year that the value may be in the mid pricers and fallen premos.

And you may well be right. Certainly my backline is thin on proven star power other than shaw, and there is some real value in that 450-575k mids range

OPERATION GOT-TO-GET-SEB

Ok, as some of you may be aware I have spruiked Seb Ross once or twice this pre season across the occasional thread (ie everywhere I've had the chance).

Ive have him in and out of my team, but he currently sits out of it. After today, I think that has to change!

Now, a few ideas spring to mind:

A) I downgrade shaw and Fyfe and upgrade a Davis to Sc Ultra Premo Edition Ross (did you notice that spells SUPER!) or

B) sidebum to Sc Ultra Premo Edition Ross and the reamining cash upgrades a rookie to mills / hopper and a forward rookie to wells / Simpkin or

C) leave the team the hell alone, any playing around will stuff it up.



I have my concerns with all three scenarios. Happy for input or any other whacky ideas guys!

Oh, and I currently have $67k to play with as my teams currently stands

Im having these exact same thoughts only mine are about mason wood.

I'd say downgrade Mills, Kennedy & Cockatoo on your bench down to cheaper rookies.

Then that gives you more money to upgrade one of B. Smith or Malceski perhaps

How many Premos do people think you need to start with. I have 4 or so of the cheaper midpricers in the low 200k range, but I've still got 13 safe premiums (plus libba). Finding my team has increasingly more midpricers haha

It's easy to get sucked in by mid-pricers, and there are a few this year.

I've currently only got Libba and Crouch, but I'm considering ditching Crouch for a cheaper option.

Jed Anderson and Christian Salem are priced either side of genine mid-price, but I'm also looking at those 2.

Libba is the only lock-in mid priced player I think, and you should just try to limit how many more you take.
