Here is what I'll probably lock in, 1st time Supercoacher so still trying to get my head around things....

Getting Shaw in last minute has blown the budget, downgraded Danger to Selwood to help it go through and upgraded Hartley to Dea. Big issue is its left me with a non-playing ruck as I've ran out of cash, only $8,000 left. Still don't really know about the loophole method, not sure how it works out to a VC getting double points? Isn't that just the same as being captain.

Only way I see to get a bit more cash would be to cut Oliver, reckon his JS is small with Brayshaw coming back and Petracca on the horizon. Also feel Hewitt could be a one weeker and I no nothing of Adams except what has been mentioned on here. Would have gone Menadue over McCarthy but hope Lincon gets a good run but has Menzel on his heels. Any help on shuffling rookies for some DPP options, not sure how that all works 100% either.

Wanted to squeeze another Saint in there, Billings was in for a while, so was Buddy actually but went Hall to free up cash...

Any help would be greatly apprecited, cheers!

Looks great, mid rookies exactly the same as me.

What do people think about this? I'd be happy to listen to any changes people may have in mind.

Finally got around to finishing my side last night.

DEF/ H. Shaw, K. Kolodjashnij, J. Lonergan, P. Seedsman, J. Weitering, M. Brown (M. Hartley, M. Adams)

MID/ N. Fyfe, S. Pendlebury, M. Priddis, D. Shiel, M. Crouch, T. Liberatore, C. Mills, S. Kerridge (C. Menadue, J. Gresham, R. Davis)

RUCK/ T. Goldstein, M. Gawn (D. Currie)

FWD/ D. Martin, Z. Merrett, A. Fasolo, D. Wells, W. Milera, D. Rioli (L. McCarthy, A. McDonald-Tipungwuti)

Have $43.5k left in the bank.

Back - Shaw, Houli, Laird, Weitering, Dea, Brown (Bench = Hartley, Adams)
Midfield - Pendlebury, Dangerfield, Ablett, Rockliff, Cripps, Mills, Oliver, Menadue (Bench = Gresham, Hewett, Davis)
Rucks - Goldstein, NicNat (Bench = Galloway)
Forwards - Martin, Wingard, Barlow, Wells, Kerridge, Tippa (Bench = Papley, McCarthy)

Stock standard guns and rooks - don't have the balls to bring in midpricers

Usually I like to save a bit of money for potential mistakes to be rectified post round 1 but somehow I've managed to use up all the cap bar $1k - not sure if this is a great idea. Is it just me or are there a complete dearth of decent rookies - the good ones, you have to shell out a bit more cash for which is what I've done but it's really bugging me

Seeking some outside advice pleeeease. My husband doesn't Supercoach so I have no one to debrief with and its doing my head in. I have 3 non playing rookies. Probably happy to hold them, I think the 2 Bombers will play but worried about Cox. Should I get a playing forward Rookie for him and target him when/if he gets named for dpp purposes? Thanks so much.

I'm thinking cox to papley.

Am I stupid for going in without Fyfe in the midfield (which only has four premium priced players)? I have approx. $240k left in the bank so can rejig if needed. Thoughts?

Hey guys, I need some expert advice (and help! lol)

Now I think my DEF needs attention ASAP but I need to find extra cash? I'm also still unsure whether to roll theball with a mid-pricer as R2 or upgrade to someone like Gawn...?

Here is my work of art... so far

upload_2016-3-25_22-44-38.png

My options to generate some cash
Dangerfield > Jelwood = $120k spare
Dahlhaus > A.Hall = $140k spare

By doing those moves, it would allow me to do the following upgrades:
Z.Smith > Gawn & Rich > Gibson/Laird
OR
Libba > Rocky
OR
Any other move somneone wants to throw at me?? It will be much appreciated :thumbsu:

UnlikelyBulkyHeros V2

- upgraded Lobbe, cost me Mills & Dea though. M8 & D6 are weaker consequently.
- Still on the Malceski train. Injuries were an excuse last year, highest defender the year before and three times has gone 90+ after poor seasons so I can't bring myself to trade him out.

B: BARTEL, BIRCHALL, MCGOVERN, B.SMITH, Malceski, M.Brown (Adams, Otten)

M: ABLETT, R.GRAY, SLOANE, J.SELWOOD, ROCKLIFF, Liberatore, Dunkley, Davis (Gresham, Hewett, Petracca)

R: GOLDSTEIN, TIPPETT (Grimley)

F: BARLOW, ROBINSON, FRANKLIN, Wells, Menadue, Kerridge (McCarthy, M-Tipungjytxddbdwuuutu)

I'll help you debrief. Sup.

Think I'm pretty much settled on this.

Very happy with my rookies except that I'm not too happy about having to put one of Adams, Brown or Tipu at D6. Unfortunately that can only be avoided by having a mid or premo D4 which would mean downgrading Fyfe to Libba which I won't do. Also angry with myself for thinking the game started at 7.40 last night and not getting my changes saved in time meaning I'm stuck with McCarthy instead of Menadue.

The forward line is paying the price for strength on other lines, but I'm pretty happy with it considering Joey's too expensive, Lids is injured, Zorko's suspended, Wingard's too unpredictable and Euphemia's too foul to touch with a thirty foot pole smothered in disinfectant.

Nice looking team!

I wouldn't worry too much about a non-playing ruck. It means you can use him as a loophole. A description of how it works is here: http://www.supercoachspecialist.com/captain-loophole.html

Your rookie choices look alright. I recon Oliver will be in and out of the side like a handful of younger demons, I doubt he'll have an extended period on the sidelines unless he's injured. I agree that Hewitt

FWIW I wouldn't lose sleep over not getting the rookies 100% right at this stage, a corrective trade or two at the start of the year never hurt anyone.

Reshuffled my team significantly in the last hour or so.

Wasn't convinced with my backline rookies to deliver the goods, so I've downgraded Dangerfield to Selwood, Jacobs to Naitanui, Hannebery to Crouch so now I've got the cash for Kolodjashnij, which bolsters the backline to now one of the stronger ones I've come across. Midfield looks slighly weaker, but with still strong scorers. Fyfe and Ablett come with no need for explanation. Selwood struggled a bit more last season but still averaged over 104, which will only increase with Dangerfield coming to the club and Geelong being stronger as a whole. He should get to back around the 110-115 average which he has enjoyed from 2009 to 2014. Bit risky implementing two mid-pricers in Liberatore and Crouch, but I see both of these guys averaging above 100 and being keepers by the seasons end.

Rucks are good.

Forward line is a bit risky as well with Hall and Gray being picked.

Any thoughts on my team?

Mids stacked, backs scarce.
Should I try get BCrouch or Steele in somehow? Mills or Oliver??
I Think if I pick up Menadue and weitering next week they'll be suffice cash cows.
Nice to see them have a good game before selecting IMO
Not a huge fan of mills as Sydney's depth is so deep
any suggestions appreciated

That backline makes me want to throw up!

Exactly the same backline as my team. No Menadue is disappointing but you should get him in after round 2.
