Jolly to miss this week. If Sandi misses also, it could stretch a few teams.

The biggest problem for those who have Jolly is that they have Jolly.
So far he's been scoring at a level that would be expected for Fraser ( at slightly more than half the price ) and way less than Smith.

Is there any $100,000 to $200,000 cash cow ruckmen out there at the moment who will play or havent played there 3 games yet?

Bellchambers has only played 2 games - scores of 55 and 120, worth $179,100

Hird said they'll have no problem playing 3 ruckmen as Ryder and Hille can play in other positions so he may have decent job security.

Thanks mate, i was thinking of him. I'll wait and see after selection but it he might be the best option!

Smith and the next best bets are Petrie, Fraser and Hale (all about 220k-250k if memory serves me correctly) in my opinion. Any ruckman between Smith and those guys in price, in my opinion is just a roll of the dice.

I see where you are coming from with the sub rule this year, ruck may overachieve - However it's early days and you don't know if fatigue/wear-tear may play into it later on. I would only get a ruck rookie for cover, rather than as a cow, because it is very hard to harvest ruck cows due to difficulty finding a playing ruck rookie mid-season, whereas other positions players break into the side all the time.

Very good point. It can sometimes apply to other positions as well. I had Beau Waters as my defender emergency in Round 22 last year. I think someone like maybe Enright was a late withdrawal, meaning Waters came onto the field. From memory, he scored around 110. I would have traded him out for cash if I had have had a couple of trades left.

Fine line between strengthening your 22 on the field and making sure you've got decent cover, especially with the byes.
