Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Need help.
Average score so far 2150 or so.

However, I have a dud in my side.

Will Thursfield (don't ask)

I'd like to Trade Malceski in. Is this right move?

Assuming it is, I need to trade out someone else to release cash.
These are (some) of my options.

Chris Masten
Ryan Hargrave
Brett Deledio
David Hille (maybe too much to ask coming back from his knee?) -> Seaby?

I'm loath to trade out Hargrave or Deledio, as I picked them as keepers, but so far they haven't really performed.

Suggestions / Options?

If you want to fix your team up, you have to do a couple of trades.
I'd look at taking out hargrave out of those four. Masten even maybe.
Not sure abut malceski, try get a premium if cash permits.

Any thought on mine -

IMO, I'd go with option 1. Masten is entering his third year(usually the breakout for high draft picks), and from what I've heard out of some WCE supporters he's OP free which says to me he has considerable scoring upside. I just don't see that in Ball. Good to jump on the Browndawg train before he rockets away in the next couple of weeks. Absolute freak.:thumbsu:

Cheers for that. But i dont know which rookie to downgrade to, Moles possibly?
Are you looking at any trades this week?

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Just throwing around some trading ideas guys for in a few weeks time when I want to get my main man Judd into my team. :D:thumbsu:

To free up some cash to go with the $47,000 that I should still have by then what do you think of this idea?

Hall > Rockcliff (Providing Rockcliff gets selected this week and plays next week and does well)

Will free up just over $200,000 and could try and make a play to upgrade Trengrove to Judd.

Haven't checked what Trengrove would roughly go up to in 3 weeks time yet but will have to see.

Just an idea, not set in stone or anything. I'm just trying to think outside the square on a way to get Judd. LOL! :D

My forward line could be strong enough to go with a 7th forward rookie since I already have Riewoldt, Pavlich, J.Brown, O'Keefe and Dangerfield in there (Ziebells the other forward)

Feel free to shoot me down.... :p

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

On what account are you trading out Ziebell?, waste of a trade IMO. And Duncan? No job security. Hall to J Brown looks good.

on the account of his low score against saints.. surely that will make his value go down?

hmm.. i might just go Tippet>Seaby then Hall>Brown

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Cheers for that. But i dont know which rookie to downgrade to, Moles possibly?

If you work this out, let me know :thumbsu:

I am trading L.Ball to any player priced under $200K in order to grab Jonno Brown in the forwards. Daniel Conners ($178K) is a bit pricey, but has scored consistently so far with 80 and 85, am thinking about him. Don't see any upside to those scores though.

Moles impressed me in the NAB Cup, but job security has got to be his big concern.

(I've already got Barlow, Martin, Shuey and Trengove in mids)

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Okay so I'm wanting to trade Gray for Brown. To do this I now have two options:

Out Clark, In Kruezer

or

Out Clark, In Seaby

Kruezer or Seaby. Which one should I get? (Hille is my second Ruck)

Hey mate,
I have all those as well as Bastinac except i dont have Trengove. You could get Bastinac for cash purposes (not scoring) as he a low value rookie.
I dont want to get Trengove as he's 170K odd so if Moles is picked this week i will go with him otherwise ill get Trengove.
I am also doing this double trade as i will have 250k left over (if i upgrade Hall) which is a huge positive.

And you would ignore his score the week before? His team was smashed and even premiums like Harvey didn't manage a decent score. Why people here would waste trades after just scores based on one or two rounds is beyond me. Thats my opinion though, by all means go for it;)

And yes, the second double trade looks far better.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Wouldn't be trading Goodwin out. Proven premium. He was hardly in the game on Sunday yet still spat out 96. Adelaide have had 2 heavy defeats and he is averaging 94. You got any other options??? Of the 3 players to Brown, I say Hall. How else can you accomodate the Hall to Brown trade???

Edit: Was just thinking maybe Medhurst to Peterson from Hawks. He looks good thus far, his job security looks high with his intensity to chase, looks like another Rioli, just a thought. Just depends how many forward rooks you are running already

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Hmm still not sure what to do
ATM im thinking out hall and tippet
in brown and ballantyne

but a thought jumped into my head iv got gia who is doing good but no setting the world on fire

Hmm i like the 1st trade personally i think the fact u have hille as ur second ruck is a huge factor having seaby and hille as ur ruck combo seems risky IMO

I would just got for the first trade. Gia has not had enough time to get going and did have a solid performance on the weekend. Give him time. Judd will be available later, and im not sure martin will rise enough for you to do that trade in the next couple of weeks.

My trade:
Option 1:
Clark to Kruez
Gray to Brown

Option 2:
Clark to Seaby
Gray to Brown
Next week: Ball to Judd

IMO ur second trade looks very good with judd in the picture but as i told another guy if ur 2nd ruck is hille its very risky going in with a seaby/hille ruck combo. Seaby may pull out some big scores against lower ruck combos (Adelaides,Richmonds) but when he comes up against a stronger suit like wce ect. he may struggle so if i had to choose it would be option 1

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Hey fellas,
I'm in need of some help here. Got no idea what i'm doin. Every year i dont seem to trade well, so i'm up for some tips.

Here's the team as is-

mine.jpg

The ones that have been the biggest problems are Hall, Tippett, Gray and Hille. I'll be f###ed though if I know who should go out, who should come in or if I should trade at all.

Have at it guys. Any ideas are welcome.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

My Question is...

Why are people jumping off Hall, Tippett, Hille and Clark, among others?

The first 2 will be up and down, Hille has just started playing senior football again, so he will take time to gain touch, and the last one could be adjusting to someone around him. Why not give them time?

Hmm interesting atm i think brown is the man to get and gray looks like the man to go but unless uv got enough for a straight swap ur gonna need some extra cash, now how to get it? ur gonna need to downgrade. Now atm looking at ur team it looks the likely suspects are tippet, hall or kennelly. if it were me i would go with one of these options
Hall > ballantyne
Tippet > rob murphy
kennelly > malcheski/hunt

if i were to pick one i would go kennelly to malcheski but it all depense how much money uv got, so do some sums and see if these trades fit in ur salary cap and pick the one u think is best:thumbsu:

hope this helps a little

I had all of them in and out of my team, but I started with Hall,Tippett and Clark.
Hall is not going to be scoring 100's every week, because he needs to kick goals to get points. He couldn't even muster up one goal against Richmond, because he is getting double teamed, he was hype, and I couldn't resist his price. I traded him for Dangerfield, because he presents better value.
I like Tippett, he was always going to be a roller coaster, i'm not trading him out, he will score big this week, but Melbourne is no easy challenge.
I had Hille in my team but I decided to leave him out. Coming back from a LTI he is very injury prone, I don't believe he's going to be as good as he was, I think Seaby is better value, and Nic nat should be getting more time in the ruck now because Cox is unfit.
Clark will not be scoring 100's every week, let's get that clear. He scored so highly last year because he was the only ruck. This year he has to compete with Leunberger, who is stealing points off him. When Leunberger is in the ruck Clark is sent up forward but he's not really a target, with Fev and Brownie better options. I traded Clark>Seaby.

Gray is coming back Round 3, there's no point in trading him.
I like the Hall>Ballantyne
Tippett>Brown

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

My two trades were

Ball for Boak
Schneider for Dangerfield

By doing that i also have a extra 120 thousand to upgrade Martin to Judd in two or 3 rounds depends how Judd price goes

Ball>Boak is a sideway swap. Don't do it.

Schneider>Dangerfield is good.

You can do 4 things will Ball:
Upgrade to a premium E:G Vince.
Sideways swap to Cooney.
Downgrade to Masten/Mcveigh.
Hope he comes good.

My Midfield is

Ablett, Mitchell, Cooney, Barlow, Martin, Boak, Shuey, Bastinac

I see Boak as being a premium mid this year he is already averaging 120 and if no injuries happen i can see him having a break out season

Great team chopper. IMO do nothing. Great depth across your fwds (Dangerfield is F7:)). Have faith in Tippett, Hille and Hall who only need 2 reasonable scores to keep or add value. Easy trade ups to premiums from there as well.

I like it and wouldn't mess with it.
