Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010
Do you remember Johnstone from last year? I would stick clear of him has inconcistatnt patches. Im looking at Joel Corey who has under performed and is due for a price drop, Boomer might bo worth a good look to, set to drop 100k over the next 2 rounds even if he scores 90-100.
Malceski is a good buy, coz he is virtually a premium, it is a sidways bet in theory but he only played a few games late last season thats why his price is so low, he has scored masive before and is in a team who worst case should win most of thier home games.
Goodwin is a tough 1 he is nearlly 33 and slightly under performing by his standards, could be injury prone to, ive got a similar dilema with Bock, im more likely than not going to trade of for Newman next round due to his round 1 performance, he will shoot back up in price after round 4, due to the round 1 being out of his 3 game avg.
Hope that helps
good job on 199th.

With Hall I think its best to trade him out to Danger or Balla, i feel he is being used as a decoy, the got the ball to him so much in the nab cup but I was at the game on sunday evening and the bearlly kicked it to him, the ball was always going to Hahn, Hill, Aker or Murphy. Is everyone keeping Hall? I don't know about him. His pre-season form was amazing but everyone knows that doesn't translate into the real season sometimes. I think he'll have a few good games here and there but he won't be consistent. Hell probably average around 75 for the year I reckon. I might trade him for Murphy... he seems to be in top shape however he is very injury prone.
Another dilemma I have is Goodwin. I've got him in my team and he's been solid- He's scored in the 90's in both games in losing sides as well... + he hasn't really hit top gear yet. However he's under an injury cloud (corked knee) and has tendinitis in his knee as well I think. If he'd fit and firing he's a must I reckon (as seen in the 2nd half of last year). However I've got doubts as to whether he can replicate that. It's tempting to trade him because I don't have Malceski yet and I think Malceski will be pretty close to scoring as much as Goody and he'll free up nearly 300k of cash which would be amazing.
Another part of my team which I'm unsure about is David Armitage. He was shit the first week but scored 112 last week. He gets a stackload of tackles but finding the ball and getting gametime is a bit of a struggle for him because of the Saints midfield. He costs 412k, considering trading him for Johnstone (SP?).
All these are hypotheticals though and I don't want to use that many trades now. I'm sitting at 199 overall which is pretty good but I'm aware I've got to keep improving my side. Malceski is one that I really want- might even trade Kennelly for him but that might be a bit of a sideways move.
