Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Keep boomer

ill be getting him in in a few weeks when his cheaper ( cause of that stinker) but his a gunn who will averge ova 90

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Oh man what a waste, terrible trade. You should have gone with Hall or Medders out. Ziebell is a gun, and will be good.

lol.

I don't think Ziebell has reached gun status yet. I hope he doesn't hurt me.

Either of the other two may fire. Nonetheless, if they don't step up, one of them will be next. ;)

Trading ideas:

Out Jolly, Trengove/Martin
In Barlow, Kruezer/Sandi

Is Barlow a must yet you think?

My ruck needs some serious attention, with Jolly,Warnock, McEvoy and Ja.Trengove doing SFA.

What to do???

Well Barlow is a must, so if you have to trade Trengove or Martin to get him in, then do it....and trade Trengove.

What do you think about trading Mitch Robinson for Howlett (probably) or Moles. Saves some cash, will make more money and probably get similar scores? In another thread I said I'd persevere with Robinson, but now not so sure.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

So you guys think that getting Sandi is a must too?

Who out of Trengove and Martin should i drop if thats the case?

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

In the end am pretty sold on going Farmer --> Silvagni and then Warren --> Dangerfield.

Am not happy with Warren as my F7 and feel alot more comfortable putting Dangerfield in that role...

Although similar in price (Warren 260k and Danger 320k) i dont think this is much of a sideways trade. Warren is averaging mid 40s versus Dangerfields high 90s...and I think Dangerfields scope for improvemet is far bigger than that of Warrens...Danger looks like playing some seriously good footy this year...

(I think there is far more to gain both score wise and money wise to go warren to danger rather than tippet/hille to kreuzer or seaby or another ruck. hille and tippet are both good footballers...they will come good. seaby who knows could start pumping out the 40s and 50s soon...)

Can i get a consensus that these trades are in fact a good idea?

Thanks

????????????

Definately, make both of those trades. I don't think it's a sideways trade.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Need some advice!
I want J. BROWN in and have J. HILL (Foots), B.HALL, or Fev to trade for him.
Who do I kick out?

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Need some advice - I really wanna free up some cash this week so im considering downgrading either Hunt > Silvagni or Medhurst > Peterson. My current 7th def is Waters and 7th fwd is Hitchcock, i also only have two starting rookies in mids.

advice appreciated.

factoring in job security and the fact that rookie forwards generally have a harder time consistantly scoring par scores, i would go with hunt to silvagni (or Maguire if you dont already have him). Seems fremantle are the cash cow gods...silvagni and barlow from broughton from last year

Silvagni looks like he'll definately get 22 (you would think). I'd personally look at him before Peterson, simply because I think his job security is better.

My questions:

Recently I have been considering trading out Luke Ball and Paul Medhurst for Jonathon Brown and Daniel Connors.

I'm now starting to think that it's not worth wasting 2 trades on. I'm really confused on this one.

What do people think? An experienced hand will probably help out. I want heaps of opinion on the subject though.

Thanks guys

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

guys, just completed 2 trades for the week, tell me what you think:

Tippett out Murphy in

Hille out Seaby in

keeping in mind that i have the following in my team

peterson, mitch duncan, barlow, dustin martin, ben nason & matt maguire.

Was thinking that once these guys go up in value, and another group of youngsters look to debut, i will downgrade to the new debutants and then upgrade existing mid range players to keepers e.g. cotchin, vince, gram > better players

i play to use a few trades early to set my team up then have a backlog for injuries/reports etc.?

Good or bad

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Jinny and THomas - you both make good points about the better JS of Silvagni compared to Peterson. I was hoping that with Rhan Hooper out for a month that Peterson should play atleast 7 games (probably more) and reach around 250-270k. Then using the cash made to upgrade him to a fallen premium ie Didak.

Food for thought, got a couple of days to stew over it.

Hille to seaby a nice trade, Hille just looks to slow atm and he wont be the player he was.

The second, i dont blame you have trading Tippett out, cudve given him a few more weeks though imo... Murphy is a good move barring injury but dangerfield and ballantyne looks the goods too

I like this trade - you secure a topline keeper (Brown) and acquire a mature rookie who should play 22 and by his avg so far should reach 400k by the half way point, whereby you could make a relatively easy upgrade to a gun...Medders was always gonna be an upgrade u may aswell do it now while Brown is this cheap.

thanks for the feedback. I've already got dangerfield in my side, and was very much contemplating ballantyne.

I will wait and see price increases and which kids are set to debut, based on that i might do the rookie ramp and make some cash in order to upgrade to a few keepers.

i've got 150k in the bank atm so in a good position i think!

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

What do people think about a sideways rookie trade > Nason out for Silvagni?

Nason looks ok but not sure how much of a cash cow he'll be, can see him getting rested in the 2's in not too distant future.. I dont wanna miss out on cashing in Silvagni down the track..

Waste of a trade imo, Nason is doing ok and will make some decent money, if you really want Silvagni downgrade un underperforming mid pricer like Kennelly.

I think its a waste of a trade, Nason will play for tigers al season, with our new youth policy. He looks good. It would be a waste of a trade in my opinion. SNOS is not a proven point scorer, he has played in 2 winning teams, and has scored more cos of the weighted point scoring. What if they get smashed in a couple of games? nason has been in loosing teams and still managed a 70 odd.
