Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

need a little advice, so what combination should i go for:

A. rohan out, howlett in
B. kayler out, howlett in
C. krakouer out, waters in
D. krakouer out. nason in (bench) and play maguire
E. tippett out, peterson in
F. tippett out, hitchcock in

i'm leaning towards A & D

Although I am not 100% positive I beleive that there is a fair chance that Howlett will be dropped this week to make way for melksham.

kennelly > silvangi (then have either silvangi or goose on the field)
&
Tippet > Brown

good idea? will leave some extra cash as well for future upgrades

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

What are everybody's thoughts on this possible trade:
Joel Macdonald ----> Malceski
Tippett ----> Jonathon Brown
Is it wasting two trades on decent players or is it worth bringing in a cash cow and an out and out superstar of the game??
Macdonald will come, don't pick Nick Mal over a couple of lucky games. Try to free up cash in other parts of your team don't trade J Mac.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Cyber Bullying is not to be tolerated, i have logs to prove it. I'm Argentinian...
How have I overreacted? I only found out it was you after checking the logs..

I don't get it why does it matter if your Argentinian? You are no better than me then, calling me all those defamatory things online, telling everyone on the net bad stuff about me while the irc had 3 people online ...

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I'm biting the bullet and getting rid of Tippett from my forward line.

Should I trade for Bob Murphy or Pat Dangerfield?

I'm leaning towards Bob Murphy, better team and playing further up the ground due to Hall.

Thoughts?

I was considering it, but Kennelly can pull out a 120 this week, and Silvagni is up against Geelong. I don't think it's worth it.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I can't really understand why people are trading Harvey.

Yeah, he had a terrible game. But he had one of the best taggers going around wearing him like a glove, in a team that got dominated. Yeah, he's going to drop a lot in price, but so what? You brought him to be in your team the whole year so his price doesn't matter. He'll still average 90+ over the year (at least) and be in the top 20 forwards at the end of the year. Perfectly serviceable as a 7th forward in your final team. He'll never get back to scoring in the elite category but he still has the potential to score well.

Seems to me a lot of people are jumping the gun.

And Howett will stay in our team. Was in the best 5 or 6 players for us last week, many more are on the chopping block before him (Looking at you Davey, Williams, Myers and Dyson).

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I've got Pat Dangerfield from the start, with the crows losing two games and he still managed to average around 90 which is amazing. Imagine when the crows finally get going, what he will score. He could possibly go up 200k by the end of the year the way he's going.

I think a lot of people should read this article:

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/rude-awakening-20100404-rlop.html

The Age said:
What is patently clear already, however, is how desperately North Melbourne needs its most senior faces to stand a lot taller than they have been. Just ask skipper Brent Harvey. Yes, ''Boomer'' had a shocker, beaten pointless by St Kilda's human glove Clint Jones. But what stood out just as much was the lack of support being offered by his teammates.

Harvey, who has been knocked around more than a little by the recent death of a grandmother to whom he was particularly close, it's fair to say wasn't mentally on his game. He was duly targeted not just by Jones, but by a good number of Saints, and fair enough. What he and North needed in response were some blue-and-white jumpers around to fly the flag. With the possible exception of Michael Firrito, they didn't. No wonder Harvey was so frazzled by game's end.

Sounds like something was going on inside his head.

Im also leaning towards Murphy.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Could downgrade Hall to Rockcliff after he has played two games and use the cash to get Judd in.

Probably not the best way in the world to do it but if you really wanted Judd after he has played his 2 games then this could be a viable option depending on what Rockcliffs form is like after 2 games of course.
