I would have to say that Luke Ball is a keeper for at least the next 3-4 rounds - I've chosen to stick with him and he's been pretty consistent and at least value for money. I'm pocketing Higgins for Riewoldt this week and with about $180k left over I have no players I'm willing to upgrade just yet.

O'Brien (keeper)
Malceski
Hunt
Waters

Ball (potential keeper)
Barlow
Martin

Dangerfield
Ballantyne

I wouldn't trade any of those but Martin for Judd leading into R6 might be on the cards once his value has gone up (400k?). Any thoughts?

i pulled the trigger this week and went:

krakouer -> nason (benched), starting goose on the field
tippett -> jon brown

thank god i did not trade in riewoldt

Looks good.

Was really hoping to focus on upgrading/downgrading my F7 in Warren only using one trade this week, but might have to change plans. Once the injury report comes out then the decision will be made much easier.

Anyone think Waite is worth persisting with ?
Has been nothing short of ordinary so far, I just have a feeling after a few games under his belt he will find some form.

Well... Here's Carltons run home...

Adelaide (at AAMI), Geelong, Collingwood, StKilda, Port (AAMI); Hawks, Eagles, Melbourne, NthMelb, Freo, Lions, Western Bulldogs, Swans, Eagles (Subi), Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond, Geelong, Freo (Subi)

After watching some vision from the game last night, and looking at the run... Unless you plan on taking the punt he will lift and become a keeper for the full season... the next few weeks look tougher rather than easier IMO. Right up to the Melbourne game could be a challenge. If anything before that game (against Melbourne) I could see him performing against maybe Port & The Eagles but they're the only games before Melbourne I'd put money on him for. After that, who knows this early, but I'd dare say he'd get shut down against Brisbane, Bulldogs, Swans, Eagles (away), Collingwood, Geelong...

BUT, this is just my own personal opinion mate. I'm not much of a believer in Carlton this year. And I do like Waite but think he can get taken out of the game too easily.

What would be the best Tippett/Riewoldt double trade this week? I have 64k spare with ROK, Brown and Gray already in my side.

I'm going to try:

Riewoldt > Harvey (if I can afford him, if not, Franklin)
Tippett > Sandi

But I assume yours is in the forward line, so:

Riewoldt>Harvey
Tippett>Giansiracusa/Franklin ?

Not sure, maybe Rioli?

like most people i will be trading out riewoldt and tippet this week. i also have dangefield who is looking to miss at least 4.

what are people's thoughts on this

riewoldt will increase to around 620k
tippet will decrease to 310k (930k in total)
dangefield will increase to around 380k

out: roo & tippet
in: rioli & goodes
thoughts?

Need to re-do your maths. Roo will drop 5k, Tippett won't drop 110k, not sure on Dangerfield.

All these injuries and trades and price rises will be keeping me busy when im bored at school :)

The past few rounds of desperate/panic trades (Newman, Gray, Jolly, Hall etc) may come back to bite them in a few months time:p. Sure a trade here or there to replace LTI's is okay but I am comfortable to use one this week on volt and will probably use my next in 3 or 4 weeks for my first upgrade.

Out Riewoldt
In Brown/Pavlich/Goodes or Chapman, I will assess these as the week unfolds.:thumbsu:

Agreed. I've got him, and i'll be keeping him, despite his poor form. In form he will average 95-100. Hope he plays down back from now on, as he looks a much more natural backman than forward.
