Replacing Dangerfield?

Who replaces Dangerfield? I've got $441,600 in the salary cap, Don't have enough for LeCras, should I replace him with Rioli, Roughead? or better off going for someone like Carl Peterson or Tom Rockliff - who I didn't pick up at the start of the season?

Do any of you consider Dangerfield > Burton a sideways trade this round?

Sideways a littlebit yes
but reports say dangerfields gonna be out for a while....
But if last week told us anything sideways trades can burn eg. hille>seaby or i even heard of a rok>Roo. So if possible make a forwards or backwards trade if possible. This is not a bad trade if there is no better option for dangerfield.

Hmmm, this week is going to be a tough week to decide trades.

I am starting to consider Chappy for Roo, even though I know he is a soft tissue injury waiting to happen.

Iv got my own trade question
Im gonna trade out roo but for who???

1st trade option
Roo>goodes straight trade + $26k

2nd option
Roo>pav
Medhurst>Junior boy Rioli

3rd trade option
Roo>Boomer straight trade + $100K

Im leaning towards the second option would give me a great downgrade in pav and would allow me to upgrade the not so flashy medhurst, but ofcoarse a major negative is 4 trades 2 weeks.

BTW with the 3rd trade iv opted for a straight trade, so i can keep the cash and use it later.

2nd option is definitely the one to go for. Pav is a jet in SC and Rioli will be a solid F6/F7 if he stays injury free.

I don't think Dangerfield's going to be out that long...

Out of thew above options I would pick the following option:

Roo for Pav, tippett for Rioli

I am not sold on Grundy even though he got a reasonable score in the previous round but lets not forget it was against Richmond. If you pick him now, I would think you will upgrade him again to a premium, so theoretically you will be using 2 trades on him.

Yeah I understand. Cheers. I guess Grundy is one of those risks you take. He looks like he has slotted in nicely down back and could become a keeper.
A question you have to consider..Pav a renowned keeper who is consistent or Grundy + $110K. Do you take the conservative approach or just take a risk?

Still unsure about on how long hes gonna be out but realisticly doesnt sound great... And it all dependes on how long u classify 'out for a while is' 3-4 is a while i say personally u might see it diffently
But if hes out indefinatly u dont know when hes coming back u leave him on the bench ofcoarse but could be wasted points with a rookie starting and in all seriousness didnt do much (okay okay critisise me didnt see the first 2 games) but against melb scored 30 odd in 2 and a half qtrs i think tell me if im wrong. but doesnt sound convinsing if u can trade him out for a decent player i would say do it. but if its gonna be a stupid sideways trade dont try it

Im kinda new to supercoach so could someone explain what a sideways trade is?
l new to supercoach as well but l'll give it go if l stuff up l'm sure some will let me know. OK sideways trade like for like Dangerfield someone like bird man burton or porplyzia down grade like getting some like duncan or peterson and up grading a back or a mid l hope that is alright.

sort of right but i'll do my best to explain
A sideways trade is when u trade a player for another player of simular price. an example of this last week was Hille>Seaby if u dont know the past two weeks hille had scored lowish and seaby high (two hundreds in a row? not sure mabye just one) this week gone (rd3) hille scored much higher than seaby by about 50 (H 78, S 34 or round abouts) so sideways as u can see are high risk and a usually advised to stay away from

If anyone wants to add something i missed go ahead;)

Would it be possible that we have a 'ROUND 4 TRADE' thread as if it continues from last week, we have to search 'pages' to determine where round 4 trade starts..If not then I guess I have to find the right page!!

Will happily start one now think it would be easier to read any else think its a good idea.

Has anyone considered getting james gwilt? he is the saint kilda player that looks like
harry o brien, he is playing pretty good averaging 91 and he is only 370,440

Agree. Don't remember if there's ever been more than just a 'Round x Trades' thread in the past. Makes it a heck of alot easier to read.

Round 4 trades

Complaining in the trades thread, so this will make things easier.

Do what you've got to do.

EDIT: (Axewell): Due to the scope of Round 4 trading, we will see how this goes...

Kosi

normally i would not touch him with a 10 foot pole BUT watching ''one week at a time'' had me thinking. With Roo going down Kosi will be the main target now. they mentioned a patch in 08 (i think) where Roo was out for 4 games and Kosi really stepped up. I can't remember these games at all but would be interested to hear from people that do.

For those that don''t know he is coming back from 2 weeks suspension. he scored 55 in rd 1 against sydney. he costs 402k. i see Kosi as being a real unique selection.

I know, i know.... he is way too injury prone.... i'm thinking about bringing him in for Dangerfield. my brain is screaming DON''T DO IT!!! DON'T DO IT!!!
