Re: Round 4 trades

Riewoldt definitely. He's going to miss most of the season.

Newman has a BE of 98 this week that he could quite easily achieve despite his average. The inexperienced Tigers will look to give it to their captain and they are playing Melbourne this week. I'd hold off for a week and then reassess.

In short I'd trade Riewoldt, pocket the cash, hold off on Newman and find out if Shuey's injury is for one week or multiple if you have a particular MID in mind for a trade.

Thanks mate,

Note Newman is injured... I might wait and go Roo-->Franklin/Rockliff or wait and see Didak/Davis...

I don't want to trade Roo to Rockliff yet just in case he gets dropped/injured this week and there is no price jump.. also cause I start Peterson before Rockliff

Apologies didn't see that.

You could probably cover Newman with Maguire for the short term (he's coring more at this stage anyway). But if you want him out of your team, you should probably put your mind at ease and trade him out.

Personally, if I was in your shoes I'd be downgrading Roo to Higgins if I was after consistency or Rioli/Franklin if I wanted to gamble for big scores, especially in the next 5 rounds.

I say that because you look like you have a lot of upgrading on your plate already and trading down to Rockliff means another player you will most likely want to upgrade.

Re: Round 4 trades

I'm staying away RE franklin..

Couple of options here

Option 1 - Roo > Pav, Masten > Bail + bucketloads...

Option 2 -Roo > Chap, Masten > Bail

Option 3 - Either Roo > Pav or Chap and back masten

Re: Round 4 trades

Think I'll only do one trade this week being Roo>ROK.
Am tempted to do either Waite>Hurley or Masten>S.Hill or Bastinac but will hold off.

Re: Round 4 trades

Done my Roo -> Brown... i think thats all for the week

$211,000 in the bank :) although it feels shit to be sitting on that amount of money? i think ill wait 2 rounds, then hopefully upgrade one of my rookies to Judd if i can. O

The only other thing im thinking of is upgrading L. Ball to Judd this round.

Re: Round 4 trades

I'm one of many trading out Roo this week (at least I've had him since the start of the season and didn't trade for him after round 2).

Rioli is the one I'm most likely to bring in at the moment (I just can't see Brown keeping up the 140s), but one from left field is Reimers. 300k with an average over a bit over 100 in the 2 games he's played to date and a BE of around -20. Will he heep getting games and scoring well?

A riskier option than Rioli but could really pay off.

I also have Dangerfield and Clark but will be keeping them both for another week.

Re: Round 4 trades

Waite > Chaplain

Could be worst mistake of the year or goldmine

Waite will come good! I'm holding on to him - He'll become a keeper for sure - He just needs to get a bit more game time and needs to gain more confidence!...No point wasting a trade for Chaplin IMO.

I'm thinking of going Roo>Pav and possibly Shuey (could be out for a while and according to some reports may even be out for a few months??) and trading for Bail, who has a BE of -100...Shuey has gone up $50K and bail should go up by at least the same amount, so it seems like a decent trade? Does this seem reasonable?
Cheers!

Re: Round 4 trades

with Grundy in my forward line, should I be trading roo -> ROK, or Chapman?

Is it bad for me to have two sydney players in my forward line?

Why not mate, I'm looking at offloading Masten for Bail and either starting him or Bastinac!

Re: Round 4 trades

Maybe even wait for another emerging breakthrough player... if that is an option...?

Doggies have a few out, big chance for Moles considering Liam Picken is out for a fair while.. Could be worth a crack.. Even keep an eye on Colyer this week. Looked good last week.. However, I thought Howlett looked good in his 2 games..

Re: Round 4 trades

Shuey out for 3-6 weeks hurts....Really wish I didnt go with a all rookie midfield:mad:

Re: Round 4 trades

Was looking at a swaping Roo for one of Harvey, Higgins and Rioli but couldn't decide so I'm now looking at Roo and Medhurst out for Harvey/Higgins and Rioli. Probably Higgins for consistency.

Was going to stick it out with Medhurst but his last 5 games against Hawks were 41, 24, 58, 69, 57

Re: Round 4 trades

I can't decide who i want to trade for Roo and Tippet. I have three options

Option 1, Roo> Pav and Tippet>Brennan
Option 2, Roo> Brown and Tippet > Cyril
Option 3, Roo> ROK and hope Tippet comes good

which should i choose?

Re: Round 4 trades

I went roo to brown mate but then I already have pav. But pav will be cheaper to put in later. I'm keeping tippet, but I have him in the tucks. Word is riolis going to become premium this year.

I still can't decide whether top swap bock to gilbee, or even shaw who was named this week.
