Re: Round 5 Trades

What do you think?

1) Cameron Hitchcock $158,400 for Tom Rockliff $109,200

and

2) Sam Mitchell $468,700 for Adam Cooney $542,000 Or Kade Simpson $545,000

Good trades or not? Some advice would be very helpful. Thanks

Re: Round 5 Trades

Tippett is a hard one and many are jumping off him now and cutting their losses. Downgrading Tippett to pods seems to becoming popular but there is a doubt over pods spot in the coming week so it's a risk. But it's also a way to make some cash for an upgrade. I'm thinkng about Tippett to pods and danger to goodes as I also have Hitchcock and gumby making money.

Re: Round 5 Trades

G'day all,

Do you trade a player that you bought as a keeper like Tippett who has lost you $120K+ for say a pods? Or do you hang onto him?

Was thinking Tippett to pods and then Ballantyne to Pav trades this week.
But would leave me Pods & Rockcliff as 6th & 7th fwd with Gumby & hitchcock as bench cover.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated?

I'd do it personally. Its a bit risky but thats what the games all about. :thumbsu:

Tippet is dead wood and should have been traded out ages ago. Trade him out now before he is worth less than a packet of Tim Tams.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Waite > SCHMIDT

530k in bank

I'm getting Schmidt too except downgrading Ladson the spud for him.

Depends who you have to come off the bench to play on the ground instead of Waite. If it Waters, Silvagni or Maguire then do the trade without hesitation and pocket the cash. :thumbsu:

Re: Round 5 Trades

Either:

Hitchcock > Rockliff

OR

Nothing at all.

Can't keep throwing two trades at every bargain that comes around.

I'm going Hall > Rockcliff personally as I can see Rockcliff averaging the same as Hall, if not better. :thumbsu:

Will free up heaps of cash along with my Ladson > Schmidt trade. :D

Just wait till you see what I have in store with next weeks trades. Ha! Ha!

Jump on the Rockcliff train mate! Toot! Toot!

No point getting off Mitchell now...He'll come good once they've got a full side.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Ballantyne --> Pods

Masten --> Judd

Very tempting. Very.

Even if Pods get dropped, I also have Peterson and Gumby on the bench. So I have the cover. And Pods/Peterson scoring just as good as Ballantyne anyhow!!

And as for Masten... don't get me started!

Re: Round 5 Trades

Need some advice as to who to get rid of for big Pods, it's gonna be either Dangerfield or Ziebell both scoring bout the same.

I'm leaning torwards Dangerfield > Pods

Don't have Ziebell so can't say much about how he's going...

Dangerfield has been stiff... He scored 98, 93... then got absolutely crunched. Finished with 33, then 52 when he was probably playing sore.

Give him a chance... 90's in a losing side is pretty good. The crows will get a few wins under their belt and hopefully he can snag a 110+ a few times.

I'd do it, but I think trading in a guy who's going to sit on the bench seems wasteful, especially if I'm going to trade him out. Another thing playing on my mind is job security. Adcock and Buchanan to come back soon enough, and while he might be doing well, he's still young and susceptible to the axe. There aren't many other Brissie players to drop.

I'm sure there will be a wealth of Tapscotts, Cunningtons, Rohans, Sheppards, Dennis-Lanes and Robertsons to come over the season I can take advantage of.

Re: Round 5 Trades

I've been so far really annoyed with my players so far. I've got some good players who aren't performing well yet. Should I get rid of them?

Players:
Masten
Ball
Lockyear
Ziebell

I'm not getting rid of Ziebell. Break even of 49 and looks to have a healthy spot in the North Midfield.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Is Dean Cox worth getting now?

He is only 480k now.

Do you think he will average around 100 for the rest of the season?

Re: Round 5 Trades

What's a good trade for Kerr? I've only got 413k.

**** I regret being so trade happy for players with 'minor' injuries at the start. :( Guess I've learnt my lesson.

Re: Round 5 Trades

So Cox is probably as low as he'll be all season. Do you try get him in now?

I've got Seaby and 200K in the bank - am seriously considering a straight swap this week.

Ditto, but I've got Nic Nat as well which complicates things because he's scoring well, without that I'd be striking on Cox because he moved much better this week and looks to be back.

They (Cox and NN) both scored well on the weekend, but how often can they combine for 200+ in the same game? Perhaps having two rucks that good at the hitout and that mobile away from the ruck will really soften up the opposition over the course of a game, guaranteeing good scores and maybe a few matchwinning contributions? Maybe having both is a good thing because there might be days when one is far more dominant than the other, but collectively they always give you a really consistent score?

From the guy that traded Gray and Tippett, I know where you're coming from (no regrets though...)

I was gunna say Burgoyne, but his jaw was broken, so he's a no. You could look at a Rhys Palmer, if he's coming back this week. Daniel Wells has hit some good form, breakeven of 4, so he's GOING to make you money. Not much I can recommend. Ebert, maybe?

Dunno.

If you've got an extra 40k, I'll give you a name.................................................Michael Rischitelli.

5th year as an AFL player, which according to the AFL prospectus is the year players jump from good to elite in supercoach point terms, and it looks like Rishca has taken that step with scores of 147, 71, 125 & 107 so far this year.

Also, the Lions aren't sure when Black will return which might help his midfield and on-ground time.

If I had my time again, I would've had him from the start.

If you don't have an extra 40k, I'd go with Stephen Hill or Daniel Pearce.
