So there's no footage of eye gouging but they'll go with it if they can't see a punch?

Think hard about what you just wrote.

Do you know how close to impossible it is to get video footage of gouging when someone is on the ground?

What 'was' visible is that his hand were around the vicinity of his face. The evidence is going to be the type of damage done to Harding's face. A doctor will tell you the damage caused by punching and gouging is very different.

As I said, time will tell what happened and 'IF' he was guilty of anything. All I said was that it didn't look good.

You north melbourne supporters are either still sore about losing or you are the most naive bunch of pacifists ever to watch a game of footy.

Stuff goes on like that in every single game of footy. You'd probably get nightmares if you watched a game pre 90s. ALL the greats of the game did it- Leigh Matthews was the biggest thug of them all!!! Ted Whitten and Dyer were belting blokes all over the place. Ablett, Brereton etc etc I'm sure you cheered Carey on when ever he belted someone in the back of the head (ie Paul Roos) Stop acting like this is the worst thing you've ever seen. Dammit, grow up:mad: .

Scarlett probably did hit him, no one is denying that. Good on him, if I saw Harding in real life I'd feel like hitting him too.:thumbsu: But the point is you can't get reported if contact isn't witnessed- Just seeing his arm move in his general direction isn't enough. Otherwise, how to they know what to charge him with? Did he strike? Did he gouge? Did he give him a wet willy? You can't even see Harding's face. You get reported for striking, not for giving someone a black eye.

If Johnny Cochrane got OJ off, the Scarlett will get off too.;)

But seriously dry up, I've never seen any supporters on Big Footy whine more than the North supporters continuing this thread. No wonder the AFL wants to get rid of you, you're carrying on like a couple of biatches. Get over it.

Based on your advice, I'll happily not whine and allow the tribunal to decide. I assume that if the result goes against you, and Scarlett has a spell for a couple of weeks, that you will not whine also???

Squealers are loathed and despised and rightly so. And while I don't condone sniping, you would be amazed what Cameron Mooney or Jarad Rooke can do with a legal hip and shoulder. Ouch.

Bomber Thompson will surely advise Mooney to play the ball. With his record, attempting a "legal" hip and shoulder but accidentally raising an elbow in reflex could cost him the finals. Mooney is far better value to Geelong playing the ball than he is when he goes off his trolley.

Thats what makes you a cretin of a person. Scarlet wouldn't go about punching people down the street, he just has a brain the size of a pea and does stupid things.

BTW, if you took a swing at Harding down the street I'd put money on you ending up in hospital, as 99% of the public would against any footballer, even a Cloke...

Yep it is surprising how the little blokes out on the field still manage to make the rest of us look like puny dwarfs when we see them in the street. Besdies the fact that they all do a bit of boxing as part of the fitness and training regiment.

yes, it was very, very ugly.

I hope not too many of the mum and kiddies were disturbed by it.

After all we are trying to stamp out that sort of thing.

It has no place in modern football.

Are only women and children capable of being disturbed by violence?
I don't believe there was anywhere near as much in this as many people are making out. And given the lack of conclusive vision, I don't know how many mums and kiddies would have seen it to be disturbed.

What should we really be trying to stamp out so as not to disturb mums and kiddies? For one, I think consistent bad language from crowds is far more disturbing to most families than anything that happens on the field. It's fine to be passionate but being aware of those around us is not just a responsibility for players.

Wow, how long have you been working on that line? And I'm imagining that's your A-grade material? Great stuff. What a champion heckler.

For the record, I believe the word you were after was "*******". And the only thing that makes the comment even vaguely offensive is the extreme lack of intellect and sensitivity that using such a word in such a context demonstrates. Was it misspelt on purpose to avoid the moderators' attention, or am I giving you too much credit? John Worsfold had to publicly apologise for using said word to shoo the media from the ground. Grow up and think of something intelligent to say (if it's remotely possible - if not, ask someone else for a clever insult that you can use) rather than using words that are far more offensive than profanities in such a glib fashion.

Who cares if he gets done or not! It seems like Flag Man just wants him to get booked so he can take something away from a pathetic loss! The umpire paid the free. That's all I want to see. I couldnt give a ******** if he gets booked or not

It's seems as the the Geelong folk are a little worried.

And for good reason.

BTW, the dropkick from the Geelong hospital that wants to smack Harding doesn't have too far to go to find him.

Please...............pretty please...............try it.:D

Not at all, we have some rippers coming on and a few duds such as Watt & Sinclair will be gone and we will be back on top.

Geelong has 2 years to win a flag before we go past them.

AGAIN.:)

2008, LOOKOUT.

Leave this petty bitter Flag man, do not comment.

Hes just angry that we smashed the Kangas and Scarlett gave Harding a smack around the face because he was running his mouth and looking for a fight.

Harding is a big wuss and Thurley is slow. :thumbsu:

Scarlett can't be that tough if he needed another bloke to hold a bloke half his size down.

I for one will be looking forward to Geelong sending us a few more ready made "big slow wusses".:D

So nice of you guys to waste draft picks and developement time and dollars to deliver us footballers.:D

You heard it here first, Egan is next.;)

Send us a Mooney or 8 Goal Kingsley in the next year or two.

And get your filthy Colbert greedy hands away from Egan.

We were definitely the winner with Colbert in that deal. :)

Wouldn't swap it around for all the tea in China.

When Harley gets back the boy will be starved of opportunity. We have the feelers out already.

Be afraid, be very afraid.;)

HAH! Egan will have overtaken Harley for CHB by the time he is back in the team. Harley will play a looser role across half back. You seem to lack insight into our recognition of the importance of our young players.
