The only doubts in the story full of holes was the one presented by her and her legal team.
People only brought the sympathy card at the beginning because she was a good looking young girl, then it became more and more obvious she was guilty as sin.

I'll be furious when she inevitably makes good money from the media for her story.

I didn't follow her story from start to finish, but how was it obvious she was guilty? Not defending her, just curious to know.

I've got no sympathy for her and don't think she's the victim, but the media should just **** right off and leave her alone.

Some of the stunts her family are pulling are great and good on them, but in the end they will probably pay for it. The media don't like being made fun of or treated as anything less than God.

I do take you point in regard to Australian laws, however am skeptical with how easy they would be to get around. What's to stop Shapelle doing a tell all interview for no money and Mercedes doing one for 1M, the whole circus of the past 24hr is imo about securing the highest dollar deal.

I'd skip Australia altogether if I was her. Life will be a circus. Pretty difficult to emigrate with that conviction though I imagine.

It's all about the media. The media's corruption comes right on top. At most, it deserved a 1 line mention in the news.

But media has made her bigger than Jessica Watson.

Then, Corby has played a strong media game, which has put a few noses out of joint in media. Denied them the money shot, ie picture of her in Australia so they can do a end to end photo cover story. The photo will sell to New Idea for thousands... just that nobody cares, except the media who has decided to make it a headline irrespective of interest

I did laugh at some news reporter reporting on the media frenzy...while they were part of the media frenzy.

Bit like reporters during cyclones standing on beaches and yelling into the mic "and incredibly, people are still outside!". Not a hint of irony.
