What would it realistically take for Hawthorn to trade for them? What would Sydney in your opinion be asking.

Well, realistically I see very little chance of a deal between Sydney and you guys. Basically you don't have anything we want (well you do, but you won't be willing to trade them to us ).

I don't rate Boyle that high - despite his height, he's not really a KPP, more a forward poclet type of player that drifts into the goal square every now and then to take average of mismatches, he's a good floating mark with a good kick at goal, but disappears a lot - seems like he'll have quite a few 'one mark - 7 possessions' games per season.

If we were to trade Buchanan off, I would want to see a proper KPP, not tall blokes that plays small.

I dont know. I think Paul Roos has finally cracked.
nah he hasn't cracked I see what he is doing, and it is appropriate of him to do it.

needs to give his senior players a wake up, and if they are trade so be it, it will show the rest of the squad that their positions are always up for grabs if they don't perform, and I support it.

You bent us over...what are you complaining about?

Sydney would like their chances again.
Bent you guys over? A 32 year old off contract ruckman that had played 2/3 full seasons since 2000 is worth a second round pick - nothing more, nothing less. We had put that offer on the table mid-week and you guys held us up till a few minutes before the dead line - and held up any other potential trades we could have done.

To be frank, the less we interact with Hawthorn during the trade week the better.

You were praising the gods for picking him up cheaply when he started dominating. Now the year is gone and all that is forgotten.

Oh well, i hope Judd gets moved soon so we can pick up a few of your players :thumbsu:

I certainly weren't thanking the gods when we picked him up because what was on the table was a fair deal, so I expected that it would done (and was) - just a lot later than it should have been. If you guys serious think that another Hay-type of deal was coming along, you guys are just being delusional.

That happens once every few decades and nothing like will come around any time soon.

Pretty much sums it up. I reckon every neutral fan who expressed an opinion seemed to think that a 2nd round pick was about fair. Pretty much every media commentator seemed to think a 2nd round pick was about fair. Even most Hawks fans seemed to think a 2nd round pick was about fair. It just seemed to be a handful of delusionals plus Pelchen who thought that Spida was worth a first round pick.
