In regards to Kerr's stiffness, surely Nickoski would have the decency to give him a bottle of pain away. I have been using the stuff for many years now and it is terrific and judging by Niko's tweets he has recently discovered it along with Shuey so please share the love boys!

i'm giving brennan 0% chance of playing this week.

if he does play i'll be disappointed, it's really not the time to be debuting new players into a line-up which has won so many games.

he won't play finals, so there's no point in him playing round 24 when someone who potentially could, misses out.

mitch brown will sooner get a game.

If we weren't playing finals it would be great to give Bones a send off. We are in the finals though and we need to do everything to prepare ourselves as well as we can. So that means not playing injured/sore players unnecessarily and if we have best 22 players unavailable as result then giving game time to those just outside the 22 a game so that they are ready to step in if required.

I like Bones and he was a great servant to the club, but it is unlikely he'll play any part in our finals campaign so there is little value giving him a game for sentimental reasons

Agree with all of this!

We will need a third tall and this provides a perfect platform for Smith or Brown to work in that role developing chemistry with the other guys

One week is okay but i'd be concerned if it was two weeks. Mitch Brown shouldn't be brought in to replace him. We need a medium tall running defender to take his place. Jordan Jones's time?

Geez Luke Power got Schofield high didn't he in that fend off?

Brett Jones farewell game?

With all due respect to Jones - I hope not.

Why? it's not exactly a disaster if we lose and it'd be nice to thank him for his time at the club

We've got a final the week after. Let's not **** around with the team too much.

Unfortunately he won't get a farewell game.

This, if we hadn't made finals Brett would be likely get a farewell game, but we did and we need to use every spot in the team this week to benefit the sides chances for the finals.

Thats why Mitch Brown will come in if he's fit.

Brett IMO will get a lap of honour at the home final at Subi.:thumbsu:

Does Butler get a run? That is the interesting question:rolleyes:

Schoey should be right for Pies final (if you believe Dr Larkins :p )

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/-/eagles/10151902/finals-hope-for-schofield/

Leading sports doctor Peter Larkins says defender Will Schofield should be 100 per cent fit to play in West Coast's first qualifying final against Collingwood despite having surgery on a fractured cheekbone on Monday night.

"If it's just a slight depression of the cheekbone that they had to straighten, then it's feasible (he'd play)," Larkins said.

"If it's just depressed, it clicks back into place. They're the ones you can get back from."

Rightly or wrongly, J Jones hasn't played a game all season. It would be a big surprise if he was a part of the Eagles planning for this year's finals and if he's not, I don't see any sense in playing him this week.

Woosh did float the idea of Bones playing in his press conference today when asked about who would replace Schoey.

"Obviously Mitch Brown is one, Brett Jones is in good form, we had Smith as the sub last week...Sam Butler is another one, we had Brennan as an emergency who travelled with us and Sheppard's in really good form."

So along with every other backup defender on our list, including Matt Spangher, Bones was suggested.

He then went on to address the Brett Jones farewell game issue - "Would love to give him a farewell game but we're not in a position to be able to just look at it for that reason. But his form was outstanding last week for Claremont as it has been for a number of weeks. With Schofield coming out of the team, and with finals coming up, Brett is still in contention to play next week and in the finals for us - with any mishaps or drops in form we've got a senior player there in good form which is a great position for us."
