O week> Schoolies IMO.

Especially if you live on campus, nobody knows each other so everyone is looking to make friends and you basically get pissed all week without doing much else. Girls are especially easy because its their first time away from Mum and Dad, thus relishing their new found freedom. Ratio was particularly good in my hall with 40 girls to 10 guys.

I didnt go. Had a house for rent that got cancelled at the last minute, gave us our deposit back and that was it.

Not sure if i missed out on much TBH. I couldnt of slept around because i was dating, i couldnt of got drunk due to medical issues at the time, I couldnt of partied till late

Apart from those 3 things what else is there? From the general description people give me of schoolies I think the same atmosphere/experience can be re created at a great concert/music festival

We had a bloke get so drunk that he shat on the TV of the mate's house we were staying at.

Was so gold but so horrific! The bloke who brought him literally dragged him outside and sprayed him down with a hose.

I broke up with my misses for the duration of schoolies. Spent 6 days ate Lorne and then 5 on the gold coast. Went extremely hard and was fairly ****ing awesome.

Since then have done things better things and better parties such as octoberfest, ibiza, greek islands, carnivale and one particularly good footy trip but at that time of my life with those mates it was such a great bonding experience.

Man I wished it didnt have to end.

Only ever been to GC schoolies.

07 - Could do whatever the hell you pleased. Was in with a few of my mates brothers who we surfed with all the time. In and out hotels, party after party in hotel rooms

08 - My age, even though I was in year 11. Got a unit with some of my mates from football that were finished. Was great, alot stricter, couldnt get into many other hotels, but they didnt mind us having tons of people in our room so it wasnt to bad.

09 - My actual graduating year. Shit. Basically no ID, no entry into the hotel. Your not staying at the hotel you don't get it. No noise after 11pm at my were my mate was staying LOL. Thankgod I didn't get a room and went to Bali. Basically just filled with schoolies, with absolutely no rules whatsoever. 6$ unlimited heinekens

10 - Might head in during the week maybe. Can only imagine it being even shitter though. Just wait for all the NSW and VIC sluts head up next week.

Had several plans for leavers this year but they all got cancelled for various reasons, so i decided not to go, most people said it was average last year anyway. Buuttt now everyones posting on facebook how awesome it is, ive decided to go and stay in a house some guy i barely know booked and not pay. Theres about 25 people there and at least 5 that arent paying so it should be fine haha. Will head down tomorrow and come back whenever as long as its in time for cricket on Saturday, lots of my mates are there so should be a blast

Going next year. Trying to go to Byron, but all of the houses, motels are sold. Have to wait untill backpackers goes for sale early next year. Just chillin in Torquay at mates places the other two weeks.

Going in a year you havn't graduated is just stupid though.

Beat me to it. Would take uni games over schoolies every day of the week. My opinion's are a bit biased though as my uni games team for the last couple of years have featured some of the most batshit crazy human beings I've ever met, in a good way.

Would still love to go on schoolies again.

The w***ers who started the fighting at Byron have effectively ruined schoolies up there for a while. Will now be greater number of cops who will be a lot stricter in dealing with everyone, not to mention prices of everything will go up and the locals will be even more pissed off than before.

I remember in 08 when I went there it was an awesome atmosphere and I never saw a fight or any push and shove, it was just really chilled and relaxed. We simply left the locals alone and respected them. I remember walking around the streets with a couple of mates and finding a group of guys with drums and all sorts of instruments. One of my mates took a drum off someone and kept playing, in the end we had a massive procession of about 50 people walking down to the beach jumping around clapping their hands. Once we got to the beach it just exploded into about 200 people all just having fun, it was really good far cry from what has been in the papers recently.

We had a guy break into the house we were staying in (apparantley it was my fault that the door was left open), who sprayed this smoke gun, leaving that dust you get from smoke everywhere in the house. No one woke up when it happened though, even though I was sleeping 2 metres away in the same room haha.

Yeah, this year was my first unigames, it was crazy. Next year at GC could be slightly more nuts as well. And while my team went pretty hard, some of the others we ran into, geez!

Byron in 05. Was good, a decent number of people but still few enough to be chilled and not have a lot of ****wits around. Wonder what it's like now...

Went to Byron last year. Was pretty sick, great atmos, no ****heads ( not that I encountered anyway). Locals going nuts playing drums and stuff on the beach and in te park. But there is one question that still continues to be debated for those who went to Byron, bay kebabs or abrakebabra? Getting a kebab at 2-3am is the best shit ever
