I used to be a fan of hyde. he was a gutsy player. Today he was awful. Pitiful infact.

Maybe we could get something half decent for him in the draft.

People probably said the same thing about Buddy and Roughhead. It doesn't matter, you just leave them in the side and they learn 10 times faster.

Clarkson left his younger players in the side and they got smashed, but they learnt alot. Having Jack in the two's means we still get smashed, but our future stars learn nothing.
the hawks were cutting costs by keeping holland in box hill because of his contract plus they are top 5 drafts, riewoldt is no where near them.

Wha..??? Was I watching the same game as you?

Hyde was one of our better players today from what I saw.. really like the way he moves and has great disposal, is starting to become stronger too.

He'll be on our list next year for sure.

No no no no no no no.

This was typical Hyde today . . . .

Run around a player-baulk another and then kick an ineffective hospital that either goes directly to the opposition or makes a contest that didnt need to be if he knew where to kick a ball to.

When that above formula works just once a match, where he almost kicked a goal its time to stop the show-pony stuff.

At least Edwards does good things with the ball more often while dancing around players and he's a 6 years younger rookie.

I dont think you were. Hyde got ran down twice that i can remember and had some pitiful disposals. he has lost his touch, which is sad to say, cause i honestly did think he was gunna be a star.

Hyde was good. LOL at all the people saying he baulks a player then delivers poorly to the forwards. Firstly there are no options in our congested forward line before he baulks the player. His kick into the forward line is fine, it's not his fault players can't take a big mark in the congestion. It's our game plan which allows defenders to congest our forward line. Hyde is a big talent and he is extremely good at getting through crowded situations. It's a joke that players like Hyde and Howat are even being critisized. No one bothers to blame our poor game style. Too many thick heads who don't even notice that

lmao I just remembered a classic Hyde moment from today.

Crawf(?) picks up the ball at centre clearance and Hyde tries to bump him to the ground, Crawf barely deviates and gets around him. Where was the tackle? Complete dud moment.

not that laying a tackle wouldve made an iotas difference...

fair dinkum never seen so many weak ineffectual tackles laid. Hawks continually broke through them and/or got away an effective handball.. poor

dude the only time he makes an effective tackle is is the player just happens to turn into his tackle. Same with the other super deluxe waste of space pettifer.
When they actually make the ground to make the tackle, they shouldnt have bothered, since all they are doing is generating more loose men for the ball carrier to pick from, as both of those dudes hang off them with zero effect. ;)
