It seems he'll be safe for another year. Do you think he has anything to offer the club? I thought he was definately gone, but unless Hardwick has organised a surprise trade, Schulz must be in his plans. He obviously doesn't work hard enough to become the player we thought 3-4 years ago. Maybe Hardwick thinks he may take Schulz to the next level with tougher training. I'd like to think Schulz and Polak will play 2010 to save their careers. Both most likely filling the positions of FB and FF. I'd prefer to give Polak a year if we had to choose between the 2. Btw, is Mcmahon being traded or what? I don't want him on the list next year. I don't want to see soft, careless players running around in our 22 anymore

Backline. Not a good enough forward and we need some blokes in the backline who can kick the ball.

I thought he was good in the backline, but for one reason or another he would be pushed forward by Terry and never got a chance to settle. I think he offers the same if not more than McGuane, Schulz has great field kicking just needs to be given a good crack at it.

his probably only still here because he is still under contract, has little trade value and you cant chop everybody despite what some may think.

He is not that old and can be apart of our premiership plans IF he can cement a spot down back. He has been good when played there due to good footskills and spoiling ability however we know he is a hack of a forward.

If he cant make it as a backman next year and reinvent himself ala Tarrant he can be delisted. He still needs a chance to prove himself where as blokes like JON and Hughes etc. we know are bonafide duds and have been delisted as a consequence.

Leppa's our new backline coach. Ring a bell anyone?? Former forward thrown down back and made it his own.....

Big body down back which is what we need. Frees up the mid sized gents (thursty/moore/mcguane) playing on the behemoths.

Unfortunately, none of those players are good for anything but playing on the behemoths. Thursty doesn't get enough ball, Moore seems to get beaten by smaller players, and McGuane doesn't use the ball well enough.

I couldn't understand why Collingwood recruited Leigh Brown, but has been more than handy as a tall strong bodied marking back who can pinch hit in the forward 50 occasionaly. Schulz has one year to go on his contract so perhaps he could play a similar role and if it works he may get another year, if not he will go end of 2010 anyway.

Architypal Richmond moron who by the grace of god has somehow managed to eek out one more year .

He should buy a Tatts ticket
yep 7 yrs hes had and hes going to get one more. this in itself is unbelievable what have we got in those 7 yrs.

craig cameron wants his arse kicked fancy giving him a two yr contract at the end of last yr. ffs we had him up for trade for a reason. to think they knocked back pick 28 what were they thinking.

Play him in the Richo role (floating around the ground). Have Schulz on one wing floating into the backline and have Richo on the other wing floating into the forward line. The reason for this is his field kicking but he is poor as a shut down defender.

im pretty certain he wasn't contracted last year, it was a 3 year deal he was on...probably one of the two ronnies that signed him, Miller was still about back then

Under 16's Australian BEsT PLAYER in AUST. I think Lids and another chap shared this award....

Hasn't got the confidence or the mark to be Chris Mew... he is good down back...... he is accountable down back there..

I would have got rid of schulz and given hughes one more chance
unless you can miraculously pull a degree in psychology out of your @rse madness you need to stop giving us your opinions on Cleve Hughes because they are completely uninformed.

Clearly .....CLEARLY .... a lot more going on than we know about so give it up FFS

I like how you go about the bold / underline / size options, IDGAF. Really shoves it up peoples clackers.

IMO this is the main reason he was kept. Simple fact is he would kick the ball better than every other big player on our list. I'm guessing he may be used as a floating defender across half back if he's in the plans.
