He's a bit of an in between player, too small for kpp. About 189 and 84 I think.

I suppose for our last pick it's worth a punt
With our last pick I'd almost be prepared to take a reject like Hulme or even Betheras. There really isn't anything to lose. You don't get James Hirds at 90 anymore. On that point, I don't know why every Collingwood supporter gets stuck into Lokan. He was our last pick in the '02 draft. Pick 1 was Nixon - gone, Pick 2 was Shacks - gone. He hasn't done too badly.

mate lokan should have been delisted ahead of mullins and shacks ... but thats a problem with your idiot of a coach.

we've picked up karl norman, brad fisher, deluca, bannister etc with late picks in the last 2 drafts ... all these blokes should be long term players for us and these picks are certainly not a waste!

i wouldnt look at hulme to be honest, very injury prone, betheras maybe not sure how he's been going.

but to say there pretty much wasted picks ne way is a dumb comment, especially when you see the number of blokes promoted off rookie lists, ie haddril, thornton, dean cox, brian harris (i think?) etc ... these blokes could have been picked up in the draft!

Firstly, Masterbates.

Secondly, Lokan is a joke. Mullins is a class act, Shacks was never going to make it.

Thirdly, Hulme is a disgrace. Rupe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hulme.

Firstly, 2 flags each - I say they're both pretty solid coaches.

Secondly, we'll see how Didak is in 3 years (Stevens' age)

Thridly, I cannot argue that - I'm a big Mullins fan. Sorry, 'was' a big Mullins fan. :(

Could do.

For some reason, it seems Shack has a better rep - but believe me, Mullins ********s on him.

He's a DAMN smart footballer, and has very clean skills. His defensive game is bad, and his fitness needs a LOT of work, but he could easilly play at AFL level.

benny schwarze could be worth a dip...but i dont really care, if the recruiters see soemthing in him they will pick him up, thats any club really, not just collingwood

as for mullins, i hope he gets another crack at it, but not at collingwood because we know MM wont do anything with him

and williams and lokan are both duds wouldnt be surprised if one or both still get the flick before national draft

I DO care!

We're wasting enough spots on "roughies" (amongst duds like Williams) at this point in time.

Back to my earlier sentiment; WHO???

Mate, I don't believe I said that they're wasted picks. You've named some other players that have been picked up late. We have our fair share too. Expecially with Maxwell, who was on the rookie list. But at that stage of the draft for every player who does make it there would be about 3 or 4 who drop off. That's why taking a 'reject' is very low risk. You know how it works, the lower the risk the lower the expected return. If you take a 'reject' you know he's not going to be a star but he's not going to be a dud. If you take a youngster it's high risk, which means he there are a greater number of possilbe outcomes. He could be a star or he could be an absolute dud. But I'm with you. Unless it means you have to delist an already good player, no pick in the draft is a waste.

Why on Earth would we want a rookie reject, who's in no mans land when it comes to height.

Surely a rookie spot AT BEST!!

He hasnt had that good of a season. He is skinny and hurt his shoulder in the V.F.L. earlier this year.

He had a very god year that got better. He hurt his shoulder later on in the season. He is not skinny either.

Ben is a pretty powerful footballer. Very quick, hard at it, vocal, strong and a very solid kick. He chases and tackles very well. Gutsy also.

He is also a pretty dumb footballer. Get's caught in posession a bit, occasionly tries to do too much, doesn't always take the safe option and often makes silly decisions resulting in turnovers.

The amount he improved impressed me this year. He seemed to gain confidence each week.

Dunno if he is worth a spot on a list. He is the type that will make it for occasional games due to his work ethic and type, but I doubt he has a long term future in the AFL.

Rookie.

Certainly more talented than Troy, at least on natural ability.

But then again, I'm fit, young, able bodied, and have a decent sprint to boot.

Perhaps Mick should draft me?
I'm a strongly built, single paced left footed six-footer, with good, but not silky skills.

I'd say I'd be more likely to be drafted by Malthouse. You sound too fast!

I think we should both nominate and see what happens.

No, you have to be slow and can't kick, we are only offering spots for those who are pretty much useless.

I think you are both too good to be drafted by Mick, if you can kick, and not trip yourself over, you won't be at Collingwood.
