Interesting that, despite the scorebugs both being Fox's, they actually have the worse of the two.

Not that either is any good.

How big is your TV. Its a HD channel most HD displays these days are 46" or bigger. The score graphic is easily readable on a my 52", I also don't have an issue on my 32"

Screenshotted a few more graphics from Seven's coverage of the footy this year via the Bigpond videos on the AFL website. I'm also gonna crack out the old "Nineties: The Decade That Delivered" DVD soon. Will take some shots form that.

Ch7's different onscreen scoreboard graphics?

Watching the freo/geel game yesterday they had the score graphic shown on the bottom left of the screen with the two teams stacked on one another. For the eagles/dogs game they have it as a strip along the top left of screen with the teams side by side.

Another difference is when on the bottom the quarters are labelled 1st/2nd/3rd as opposed to the top left being Q1/Q2/Q3...

i prefer it being shown along the top where its seems less distracting and it just looks more professional. just wondering why there is an inconsistency like that?

The Foxfooty scoreboard is on top of the screen and the ch7 scoreboard is in the bottom left corner.

Todays game is a Fox Footy produced game,but shown in WA on Seven [and Fox] because a WA team is involved.

I see, cheers. Also the score and team graphics appearing on the turf at each centre bounce is cool, how it stays in place as the camera pans away, very professional ch7 should take note.

the one up the top left that goes club logo 1 - club logo 2 - club name 1 - club name 2 - scores - is way too cluttered

i agree the logos could be shortened to just team colour next to the name.

The team logos are there because for some unknown reason Fox Footy have their station logo on the top left side of the screen, so for their matches it covers the team logos, but when shown on seven the fox footy logo isn't there so the team logos become visible.

I agree it is way too cluttered. Get rid of the logos, just have the team colours/names/scores part, and move the station logo to the right side. Smacks of changing from the norm just "cos they can"

Only issue with it its they dont zoom back into the the ruck contest fast enough to sometimes catch what happens.

i personally prefer the use of the graphics that were in games such as richmond vs brisbane mcg 1999, and melbourne vs brisbane mcg 1998

You know what I hate about the graphics? Channel 7's insistence on displaying 'G B T'. Where did the 'T' come from? I guess it stands for 'total'. We already have a term for 'total', it's called 'points', which has been in use for over a hundred years. Goals, behinds, points. We all know what that means. Why does 7 have to change it? Should be G B P. Anyone agree?

I disagree. There is ambiguity when you use 'points'.

How in the world is that ambiguous? A point is a behind. A goal is never, ever a point. It's six of them.
