The bottom pic is the GF, but I also have the round 17 match of Adel v Fitz from Footy Park and it has the same graphics as the GF.

I was wondering the same as you Bruce. I know that they had half-assed versions of their animated graphics from 97-2001 that were used for "non-feature" matches (as discussed earlier in the thread) and wondered if this was a similar thing. But to be so completely different is what baffled me.

Another thought could be they had technical issues, and these were makeshift graphics until the main graphics were available once again.
 
Those graphics were also used for Rd 1 96 Fitz v Haw (not sure about any other Rd 1/2 games). The footage is on Youtube. Maybe they redesigned the graphics after the first couple of rounds?

I guess one that could be added is that, since this thread was last used, Fox Footy have re-done the scorebug, getting rid of the long left-side watermark (and the club logos underneath) and putting a "FOX" within the football to the right, next to any info ("LIVE IN HD", "1994", "RND 15", etc.).

Gibbsy I'm super keen to get this going again.

As far as I know I now have examples of every style of graphics from each network since 1991 in my collection of matches. I can go through them and take screenshots of anything you like.

Let me know if there is anything you want help with. Feel free to PM if you prefer, to discuss it more in depth.

Does anyone have a picture of Fox Sports or Channel 7's after match summary, the one where it has the team name, final score, bests and goal kickers???
 
the Fox Footy graphics this year are a little bland for my tastes... would prefer seeing the team logos rather than those silly flags

not having the "away" team's name immediately above their own score looks a bit odd too

theme song/tune for Fox Footy this year seems a bit too "soft" for footy... especially when its the slow piano key version going to a break
 
when i watched the first nab challenge game i thought those flags were just a terrible pre-season thing, such a shame they're using them. i like the demons colored graphic there with it's seamless look and no boarders, but as mentioned it should have one team on the right and one on the left and the stats below their names, minor thing but it matters.

This year's is terrible.
What the hell is this + rubbish, and it's all too small for me to read half the time.
 
It seems to be following the path of Fox Sports in the U.S., which went to a real minimalistic look over the past 12 months or so, only they've botched it up big time here for both the AFL and NRL.
 
I don't mind the minimalistic design. I think in general the new Fox Sports design is actually very nice. But there's a few things that annoy me:

- Those triangles on the scoreboard
- The inline scorebug. I'd rather the team names/scores were stacked on top of each other, not next to each other.
- On some graphics the dark blue line thats used for information below a persons name comes up and around the side of the big red bar. I'd rather the blue bar just stays completely below the red

So we finally get to see Fox Sports' graphics re-branding applied to their soccer telecast. They've kept them under wraps during the FFA Cup and early rounds of the EPL, and unleashed them for the A-League, in a similar move to what Ch7 used to do in the 90s.

Nothing really surprising about them. The most interesting thing for me is that although they have the coloured hexagons in the same veign as the flags (triangles) for AFL and chevrons for NRL, they also "morph" into the actual club logos. Its something I'd like to see rolled put for AFL too.

Scorebug is quite small and unobtrusive in the top corner too.

While I'm at it, this is their Basketball graphcs, again along the same lines. Bit too long for me. The gap between team name and score could be reduced.
