I read on another thread how poor we are at kick in strategy after opposition behinds.
This surprised me a little as I always felt we had some ability to carve up a team when we could structure up.
So I looked at 2024 (when we were average at best) and YTD 2025 (when we are good)
Over that period, goals direct from kick ins are as follows:
Top 3
Hawthorn 31
Adelaide 28
GWS 26
Bottom 3
Saints 13
Carlton 14
Essendon 14
North 14
I get it’s not a huge source of scoring overall but interesting to a numbers man like me! I reckon Keane is a big part of this, he takes risks which I love.
Maybe we should rush more behinds?
