A valid point for thought. Pace and skills. You can bemoan the fact he is soft,Carlton bred,old but he has outside pace and outside skills that we severly lack.He can run the lines and kick goals. He didn't show much of that last year but who wouldn't be worn down by the past few years that Carlton have had. He is a front runner in a lot of ways and at least the Pies have a few 'grunt , unskilled ' boys that can get the ball out of the pack.

Saying all that I don't really want him either but I wouldn't dismiss it on sentiment alone.

People take off the blinkers, there is a case for him as i have put it. Sure there is a case against it and its a risk but less so than taking some skinny pimply runt from frankston. Food for thought for Hine and co.
