All im going to say is that he can play football.

Out of contract at Carlton, should he nominate for the pre season draft, with pick 2, we get the chance to take him for peanuts.

Got visions of Mullins drafting with that sort of call.

We will be taking 4 or 5 young blokes already, cant hurt to take a proven midfielder over a huge/gamble speculation on a kid likely to have little talent or ability at that end of the draft.

at least when u gamble on a kid there is a CHANCE you may get a good return from him.

When you pick up campo u knwo wat ur getting. a 31 year old who's well past his prime, and has maybe 2 years max left in him.

We aren't short on veteran midfielders. We don't need experience there. Go the youngns.

He's got skills and hes not slow, two things we are a little light on for.

Sick of us plucking talentless kids like mullins from the arse end of the draft adn the revolving scrap heap they inevitably end up on, better off taking a player of this calibre to share the workload and assist the development of the draftees.

Please dont compare him with woewodin.

He costs only peanuts and their are little or no other options in the psd.

Bring on Campo. :D
 
I'm with Murray. He's also as soft as Woewodin which we don't need. In his favour he has better speed but he's hardly quick by todays quick midfield standards. I can't why we'd bother myslef. At least Lappin would have been a different sort of player to what we have.

Id rather pluck campo with pick 2 in the psd than some talentless pimply kid with pick no. 851 in the national draft.

But of course it wouldn't be pick 851, it is pick 37.

it boarders on insanity even thinking about campo coming to collingwood. Too old and too carton for mind (does the hate for carlton we collingwood supporters use to have still exist??).

As much as it pains me to say it, collingwood will want to bottom out again this year so as to make sure they have a good go at the superdraft next year! Therefore they wont pick campo (a ready made mid) to cover for the likes of ellis till he stacks on weight etc.
i personally think we should take baird form nth melb with pick 2!

How heavy are you understudy??? How many peanuts do you eat on a game day?
The reason why Campo wants to leave Carlton is because they won't pay him enough peanuts.
If you think 25000+ (I'm only guessing) peanuts a game is worth it for an old has been who is as soft as a walnut then you have been holidaying to much in Shandong.

He's not going to take a one year deal though. He'll be on board for two years.

It's almost like there are so many reasons not to take him that you've failed to grasp any of them.
 
People take off the blinkers, there is a case for him as i have put it. Sure there is a case against it and its a risk but less so than taking some skinny pimply runt from frankston. Food for thought for Hine and co. :)
 
The reality is there is nothing to get at all excited about in the PSD. I'd prefer Guerra to Campo because he is younger and can add some aggression which we lack. With Stevens, Scotland and Kouta winning the B&F Campo and Carlton's midfield didn't get them very far. If it's pick 37 or Campo it's a non contest. Give me Mr. Pimple Face. If its pick 53 or Campo then I don't know but my gut says taken the pimples. If it's Harry or Campo then Harry. If it's Guerra or Campo then Guerra. If it's redraft Davidson or Brayden Shaw or take Campo then I still wouldn't take Campo.

If we had a ruckman and played finals last year I'd seriously consider Campo. on a 2 year deal but we finished second last, we have to replace Buckley and Burns quickly and we haven't won in the ruck more than a handful of times this century.
