Indeed, a Norwood boy. Have been a good drafting club for us.. Phil Carmen, Scott Burns, Craig Kelly, Tony Francis, James Aish, ...
Steven Pitt & Stephen Patterson too.

Not familiar, sorry. :/

One was an undersized CHF that kicked 4 goals in the infamous Carey/Buckley match in 96 but was overshadowed by Rocca with 8 and Williams with 5. Lasted a season, came back for Melbourne 4 years later and is now a policeman.

Stephen Patterson was a small forward who specialised in not kicking many goals and really only lasted in the team because cameras and tvs were still in the Stone Age and everyone used to mistake him for Scott Burns (or Brad Cassidy).

Patto had his moments, he would never get in a good side but could be a livewire at times.

I sat next to him once at the footy. He tried to explain the tactics of the game. I just nodded along, no idea what he was talking about.

Lovely bloke though.

Stephen Patterson is the mayor of the City of Holdfast Bay now, well I'll be damned. Being an ex Collingwood player opens doors I guess.
He had that job for a few years but moved into state politics a couple of years back. He's now the State MP for Morphett (my area!). He's doing very nicely for himself!

Michael Taylor was another Norwood recruit for us. We seemed to have a bit of a "thing" about recruiting players from that club for a while there!

Wikipedia needs updating then.

iirc there's a Neil Balme connection there too...

Wasn't a bad club to recruit from, they played a hard pill when Macintosh was there.

Yeah, Balme coached Norwood for many years, and also played a few games for the club.
