shit poll, Lucas was a gun and would've been even popular if it wasnt for Lloyd. He's final quarter against West Coast in 2007 is perhaps the best quarter by an individual I can remeber.

Mooney cops a lot of shit and isn't that bad but he'd still be one of the worst triple premiership players of all time(not a bad thing tbh :)).

Yeh stupid poll, its Lucas by a long way. Mooney's your long time average servant. Looked good when Geelong were great but apart from that he's a just been a solid player, nothing more nothing less. Lucas could tear games apart on his best days.

Lucas and it's not close.

Lucas was a very good player and only a tier below a great CHF ( ie Carey, Brown, Tredrea ). Mooney was a solid player and nothing more

To be honest, I expected more votes for Mooney. I'm a big believer that he is a relatively average player who benefits from an exceptional level of refelected glory.

Clearly I must be the only person that thinks that, because the result is resounding.

I'm curious though (and it is just conjecture) as to how Lucas' career would have faired, and thus his reputation if he did not play alongside Lloyd.

The only thing Mooney has over Lucas is stats on the opposite foot and handballs ;)

Lucas - 270 games, 471 goals

Mooney - 212 games, 285 goals*

* That's including North/Cats & is still playing

Lucas was unlucky not to be AA CHB and was a better goal-kicker. Kicked 5 goals in a losing GF side. Mooney is a fantastic team player, who held together premiership sides, but he's not in the same league as Scotty.
