On topic though, I'm surprised Bolt would take Pentecostalism as a positive. If you ignore the kiddy diddling and overlook the fancy dress I can understand your average social conservative being a fan of Catholicism, but Pentecostals do stuff like this for fun:

Saying religious people believe in magic is often a lazy argument generally used by the more annoying type of atheist, but in the case of Pentecostals I think it's true.

Guys I am getting really excited about Morrison. This is a man who stopped the boats, kicked people of the dole, brought a lump of coal into parliament and said he wants Australians to keep as much of their money as possible.

Please Scomo start by giving us a brand new coal fired power station.

We don't need it, considering the amount of capital being invested into renewables and battery technology. Coal still has a role to play in the energy mix but it is fast losing its comparative advantage over renewables on both reliability and cost. Before discussing reliability, I am old enough to remember every time there was a summer storm the power would go out, that was with 100% coal power.

Good to see Morrison breaking up the 'Home Affairs' portfolio that Turnbull let Dutton create as a right-wing fiefdom.

I actually would not be massively surprised if ScoMo managed to win. Politics is more personality driven than ever, so dumping Turnbull hits a bit of a reset button for the Libs with a sizeable portion of people, and Shorten is pretty invisible when it comes to charisma by most standards.

Their takeover didn't happen. The Govt is much the same as it was under Turnbull. But with less Bishop and Turnbull, and probably far less 'consensus government' stuff since that is what made Turnbull a fizzer. Ignoring the hard-right is ScoMo's only hope.
