it was always a BS promise

if you look at most stations, there isnt the free land for the numbers they said they would create

So you're talking about crap car parking like the MCG , rather than efficient multi level car parking.
I maintain they should find a station within easy access of the monash, build a huge carpark , where you can drive in and charge your ticket to your etag.
Instead they still have that bullshit excuse for a ticketing system and a carpark suitable for a supermarket in Nar Nar Goon.

The the city of Melbourne say they will reduce car parks to get the cars out of the city.

no, im talking multi-level too

Ive seen whats been done at Sydnal, and the reality is that amount of land isnt available at most stations

let me give a few examples that are on the monash corridor

- holmsglen has major access issues (one side street entry off warrigal road)
- glen iris is a ****ing mess thanks to being wedged my the monash
- murrumbeena and carnegie are surrounded by shops
- darling has access issues
- alamien is surrounded by housing
- Ashburton is one lane drive thru only (not enough land for mulit)

dont even bother discussing tooronga, gardiner, kooyong, or burwood

Not sure if this has already been posted, but it seems the Daily Tele has finally decided that a rape case is front page material...

(In no way lessening what happened in this reported incident, but just farcical that they can run this as a massive front page but not the stories linked to puppet government they helped put in place)

They aren’t even trying to pretend they aren’t running misdirection for the LNP.

The individual stories may be serious but the fact a rape story dominates the page with an ALP problem with women just below it is no coincidence.

Car parks OVER the train line! You can have that idea free.

Reynolds really is cooked. The Gaetjens report is going to be given to Cabinet while she's in hospital hiding from the press. I wonder what people like Hastie are going to say about her when she's not there.

She'll be told while she's in hospital and say she's resigning from cabinet and going to spend more time at home in WA. Might even resign from the Senate immediately so she can get into a lucrative Defence company board sooner.

That kills the story. Reynolds' fault and nobody can chase her down because she's retired with a bad heart.

I'm basically telling you here what Hastie will be telling the rest of Cabinet.

Government then announces "sweeping" changes which apply to all of parliament but has Ministerial discretion and secrecy attached (Home Affairs is responsible and isn't allowed to talk to anyone about it). So nothing will actually change, but there'll be an announcement and photo opp and plenty of "this applies to all political parties and isn't just an LNP problem".

What people need is an alternative to driving. A multi story carpark is still going to fill up by 7.30. All it will do is cause congestion on people
Easiest solution is to improve the local buses to the station. Make them more frequent and more direct.
Even things like better cycling infrastructure to the station.

In Sydney for instance most bus routes are covered by private bus companies. They do as they please.

The Syndal one mentioned earlier is the worst waste of money I've seen in a long time. $40k per space which basically meant a very small number of people ~50-100 didn't have to walk as far to the station and some nearby residents didn't have cars parked out the front of their house. It was basically a $40k handout to 100 individuals who drive to that station.

Most places you could get $20k per space, but Syndal is far too constrained. For example, a multi-storey adjacent to Glen Waverley station would have cost less than $20k per space (So twice as efficient).

Theyre regulated by TfNSW. TfNSW set the fares and service standard.

Coincidentally the sitting week is now over.

I'm trying to find out when the next Cabinet meeting in. Anyone know where one might find a schedule?

Maybe they'll have to tell her to her face that she's going? Perhaps waiting to see how the media treat the story now the poor lady who victimised the rape victim is out of hospital before they either put the knives away or plunge them in.

Her staff saying she'll be back at the next sitting isn't the same as the PM saying she'll still be Defence MInister when they next sit.....sounds like her staff are saying she's fine to continue in her role. Even though she missed the most consequential meeting with the French sub builder and hid from scruitiny for a couple of days.

What a surprise her heart was suddenly better the day after sitting.

Scotty fears Pilbersek

This man has no accountability, no leadership, can't face scrutiny, is a dole bulger on taxpayer money, cares more for is image then the nation. Only thing the fat parasite can handle is stuffing his gob.

If he was in charge during WW2 we all would be speaking German and Japanese
