Its becoming increasingly obvious that many govts have completely overreacted to this.

Its also clear that the correlation between lockdown and deaths is nowhere near as rigid as these govts would have you believe.
Which ones would they be? Italy, Spain, France, the UK, US? All the ones that didn’t want to end up like the aforementioned?

Yes because the media refuses to use per capita stats.

They also neglect to mention in a bad flu years in the UK 20,000 people die.
Don't be stupid medusala and fall for the bull shit that the COVID19 virus is "not any worse than the flu".

This Coronavirus strain is far, far more contagious than the flu and anyone that comes in contact with an infected person becomes infected 100% of the time and that means that this infection spreads like wildfire which makes the lives of those who are vulnerable, far, far more problematic.

In one month, there have been over 11,000 deaths in the UK; in ONE MONTH. In another 6 months, if we accept the capitalists prescription of "getting on with it" it's likely that another 60,000 will die.

What are you going to use as an excuse then medusala when the intellectually lazy "in a bad flu years in the UK 20,000 people die" has been confined to the pile of embarrassing things people said at the beginning of this humanitarian crisis?

How does banning someone from sunbaking in a park stop the spread of a virus? Clearly it doesnt if they are social distancing. Even if they arent its still hard to spread.

Some Euro countries eg Italy have their own peculiarities eg older population and generations living together. London has a very crowded tube etc.

Hes finally cracked it and gone tribal.

States and schools have signalled their intentions for at least a week now.

But Scomo chose the first day back to run his partisan political rant. DEP LOR ABLE

and the poor people who have to chose between food on the table or education, the nurses, supermarket workers, low paid?
Faux concern. Poor pay was a major topic in the last election and the Bozo just smirked his way through it.

Why rid you turn political with some weird mixed up class envy, seeking to divide when we need to pull together?

What is this concerning? D'you have a link?

FINALLY admits he kept his kids home from school because " they weren't learning anything "

Why was it so hard to just admit that in the first place ?

All the countries which have public health systems of any note have done well.

Its day one back to school in Vic only. There were mixed messages coming out of the national cabinet, Dan clarified those differences.

Class envy, workers in NQ got him re elected including the tradie on $250k.
The old class line is a figment of your imagination.

I'm agreeing with you - I said 'mixed up class envy' - drawing lines between supermarket workers and teachers etc... for what actual reason? He didn't care during his election about low pay one jot.He used the words 'class envy' a lot thats why I used the term I dont normally.
Now 'we' are canonising low paid frontline staff - cheaper than paying their actual worth perhaps?

Like BoJo with his fine words for the NHS - a few less platitudes and a few more PPE ol mate?

So he is telling everyone to go to school but not his kids and threatening funding for PS and his kids would be not going to PS

Not sure but Nielsen on sky asked Fido Dido if he was gonna send his kids and he danced around it.

Nah, he said he didn't send his kids in the last week because they were no longer learning anything, it was just childminding. He said he would send them when school goes back. But he seems determined to pick a fight over the schools issue when people are far more likely to have sympathy for teachers.

Chalmers is all over him at the moment. One minute he says schools is a matter for the states, now he releases a video saying 'get back to school', mostly for essential workers but everyone working is essential. Andrews has already told him to heck off, imagine the National Cabinet isn't going to be coming to any sort of agreement this week.

Now is probably a pretty good time to remind you all that despite being the 14th richest country in the world, we have only the 68th fastest internet.

And the reason for that is that Scott Morrison's party decided to weaponise something which in times of crisis would have been entirely a good for society.

And the reason they did that is because they didn't have the wit to win elections on talent or ideas. They never have.

I got a $165 parking fine the other day for pulling over so my daughter could get in the car. I received it in the mail 2 weeks later - apparently parking officers take photos from their cars now.

If these stupid campaigners think I am about to sign up to some tracking app on my phone when they pull this sort of shit (I know it is council but imagine what Dutton will dream up) they are kidding themselves.

ahh there's that national cabinet again! What a great scam fro Scotty-from-marketing hey? National Cabinet where there is no consensus and states do whatever they like hahaha :thumbsu::thumbsu: two thumbs up for Scotty: How great is the National Cabinet!

This reeks of sexism mate. You should be ashamed of yourself.

We shouldn't be rehashing this sort of bullshit in 2020.

Ps, SHY got 18 126 first preference votes at the 2019 federal election. I take it maths probably isn't your strong suit but maybe sharpen up a bit champ.
You don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. I just voted for 5 women at our local government elections and I voted for Pauline Hanson #1 in the Senate at the last election.

Besides nurses no other campaigner in your list is underpaid. Not even close to it.

**** me, where did you park? In the mayor’s personal parking space!

Not sure why Mr M wants to be so different to the Premiers with regards to children attending school.

Good on you mate.

Can you tell Pauline that no matter what I say about white people I can't be racist towards white people because I have lots of white friends?
