Yes we are all aware of a group of RWNJs gathering in Canberra with a median IQ well short of 100.

What's your point?

Other than to troll I mean.

Political radar is something some have, some don't.

The two best in my lifetime were Hawke and , once he got his sh*t sorted in the 90s, Howard.

Today Scomo tells the antivaxxer protestors in Canberra that mandates are a state issue. He had a chance to show genuine leadership, empathise with them but push the message of a national plan that allows us to move forward together.

Instead "that's an issue for the states"
Everything an issue for the states to handle with him, he’s the king of passing the buck

FFS.

Do the words 'It's not a race' sound familiar?

And your quoting of stats about case numbers and per capita deaths is deliberately misleading.

Up until today Australia has recorded 176.59 deaths per million from covid since the pandemic began (more per capita deaths than places like the Congo, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Nigeria, Tajikistan, Nicaragua, Angola, Ethiopia and somalia).

New Zealand recorded 10.78 deaths per million in the same period.

Compare the pair.

One of these countries had Scott Morrison as PM. One didn't.
Oh yes New Zealand, the country that didn't allow a pregnant journalist stuck in Afghanistan back into the country until there was international condemnation against Ardern and her government. The poor woman had to negotiate with the ******* Taliban because the NZ Govt wouldn't come to the party. Anyway, NZ will eventually open up and deaths will be inevitable as Covid isn't going away.

As for you comparison with African countries, do you know how severely underreported Covid cases and deaths are in poor and underdeveloped countries? The true figures will be much higher in countries like this, which the WHO has stated several times before.

You're vastly overstating how bad things were handled. It's an unpredictable pandemic, mistakes and deaths are unavoidable.
Despite what is known about previous pandemics our Fed Govt had virtually no future pandemic plan or infrastructure to deal with one if it happened.
Despite the warnings to the Fed Govt it was their inaction and lack of planning that allowed covid19 to make it's way through our natural defence (our border of water). Covid in our country is all on them, no one else. Every death from it all goes back to them.
All the mandates all the angst, lost jobs, income, billions wasted, rallies, Aussies Vs Aussies, lost time with loved ones, the missed births, weddings, funerals, school and all the things we care so much about could and should have been avoided if it wasn't for the mistakes of the marketing man's can do capitalism govt.
It is on them!

So let's say we had magically avoided letting Covid in (which no country has done), what would the plan be? Stay closed forever? Even with a fully vaccinated society, there will still be deaths. At some stage, you need to learn to live with it and get on with your lives.

Covid is not going away.

Would love to know the % breakdown of left to right wing voters at this rally hey

Dunno, but there's really not that many people there, certainly not the million people the cookers are claiming. Maybe 20k there by the looks of it.

The streams I saw of the camping area last night, it's a lot of grey nomads mixed in with the Melbourne Freedom mob and a few busloads from QLD carrying ON/UAP boomer types.

Covid might not be going away and why do you suggest "stay closed forever?" , are you unfamiliar with quarantines and how they work?
Our natural defence was our border of water and the vast open land space for quarantine. All our state lockdowns could have been avoided if not for the Fed Govt and it's lack of control

So we'd have a permanent 2 week quarantine process in place forever then? I don't think you understand how unsustainable ongoing mandatory quarantine requirements are. Unless you're content with Australia losing international sporting events, concerts, having our tourism industry destroyed etc.

If you regard Grace as deplorable, what do you think of the bloke who raped her?
Unfortunately Grace has turned into a labour/greens attack dog on the PM.
There going to look like fools if they don't win the election.
