I answered your point if you had bothered to read it. Just watching the Labor Party left wing fest yesterday. That is all they wanted to talk about. I keep hearing how this is a non issue within the Party. Didn't appear to the case yesterday..
Well no, you didn't. You claimed Labor's election would lead to "open borders", whatever that means.

I pointed out that in one possible sense of the term, the Coalition's current policy has led to more open borders than Labor could ever be accused of.

Did the Labor Party ever explain why the Milky Bar kid was knifed? It didn't have anything to do with the fact that he was not from any faction, and the faceless people that control the Labor Party could not allow such a situation to continue? Why was Gillard dumped? Never properly explained.

We'd all like to know. I doubt anyone is particularly proud of that period in that respect.

But the take-away lesson is that the "Milky Bar Kid" made sure that Labor enacted new leadership challenge rules that have seen 5 years of complete stability in the federal Labor party since.

Given how mercilessly the Coalition mocked Labor when they were going through their period of great turmoil, one might have expected a little more humility from them when the Coalition promptly launched into their own tawdry rendition, wouldn't one? "The adults are back in charge" my arse. This lot couldn't organise the proverbial excrement fight in the proverbial rural bovine living space.

Peta Credlin admits the climate change policy under Julia Gillard's Labor government was never a carbon tax, but the coalition used that label to stir up brutal retail politics.

Just like the dying days of Labor, they can't get any clear air for anything remotely positive. Today's announcement just gives Shorten the freedom to make some nice promises.
Both sides of Australian politics have sucked for 10 years. Nothing but s**t ever since people voted for Rudd for no good reason other than people were bored of good governance under Howard.

Labor have been ready to govern for several years now. Disciplined, united, releasing plenty of policy, which is striking a chord with mainstream punters. Give them your vote. No contest really.

Stability is one thing but this is the same team that sent our country to the brink last time and no doubt will again. Blubbersook, Plenty Wong, CFMEU Shorten ... its a nightmare.

It's like the last six years didn't exist. I hope the Libs decide to run a carbon copy of the 2012 election campaign.

Yes what a pantomime. Difference is that while Labors civil war waged Australia was going down the gurgler due to horrendous incompetence. Who can forget Gillards genius mining tax that delivered massive welfare based on revenues that were never realised?

An absolute nightmare that just went on and on and on. Meanwhile this govt about to deliver a not insignificant surplus projected to increase over the next few years. Not the time to risk Labor.

lol Good governance he got kicked out for bad governance and even lost his own seat he was that on the nose
He wasted a massive mining boom with no infrastructure just tax cuts that were gobbled up by inflation,he also created the future sabotaging of budgets with middle/upper class welfare and culture wars.
The people tried to get rid of him earlier but along came Tampa and survived another term.

It would be "good for the country" if you, Scummo the Clown and GC26 keep your gigs as joint policy directors for the liberal party.

Most neutral commentators agree they were by no means a “nightmare” so unless you have some evidence to the contrary, your vote is safe with Labor. Give them a go. The current government is simply awful and a waste of everyone’s time.

Thank God the Chinese have paid a bit more for Iron ore lately. Their's your surplus right there.

That sure is great economic management.:)
