If more people have jobs you'd expect GDP to be higher and the tax to GDP ratio to therefore be lower surely.

Anyway, my only point is that Coalition barrackers think being a low-taxing government is some sort of badge of competence (it's not.)

Exhibit A: The Coalition bullshitting about Labor's "debt and deficit disaster" (knowing full well there is nothing intrinsically bad about a deficit budget, or government debt) and then going strangely silent when all they do in power is add to the debt and deficit.

This government has reached Olympian levels of bullshitting and I will never decline to remind its supporters of it, with facts and stats.

Facts and stats matter, and it's time this government started dealing in them.
