Not all farmers, just the ones factory farming to make a quick buck.
It's easy to tell the difference.

You wouldn't know it if you fell over it.
Now, again,, give me the solution to the current and ongoing fire crisis.
Screeching CLIMATE CHANGE won't cut the mustard.

Do you know what is interesting? Cashless welfare and drug testing newstart recipients will actually cost us taxpayers more. A lot more. Now consider the glee that some of you are expressing about these policies.

I guess that's the sort of hatred for the poor that motivates people to be right-wingers. At least you lot are obvious about it - it's the ones who know how to hide it that are the real danger.
Turning the middle class on the poor is a trick out the rich playbook that’s as old as politics.

If government can't deliver universal free education, there is no justification for its existence.
It needs to be razed to the ground so we can start again.
If you want an expensive higher education you can chip in a bit for it.

There's already way too many dipsticks out there with useless degrees, imagine how many there would be if you took away the responsibility of repaying any of the costs associated with doing them.

Argue that HECS fees are getting too high or whatever, but making it free is laughable.

And I reckon a fair few if those dipsticks post on here after a cone or two.

It is easy to tell.
For your own health, assume that the crops have been sprayed with poison or the livestock have been fed poison.
Don't trust anything that comes from any farm unless you know the farming practices employed on that farm.
If you don't know, don't eat it. Simple.

As for the fire crisis.
Your argument is a little too convenient. There's fires, it's the greenies fault. Let me traipse my cattle through the forest. Problem-o solved.
Yeah.
Nah.
IMO we should give farmers another handout so that they stay the F out of the way in order to allow the rest of us to deal properly with environmental issues, such as fires. Farmers can't be trusted to produce food that doesn't make us sick, and that's their only job, why would we trust them with something so important as environmental management? So give 'em handout, that usually shuts them up. They can go on their merry way voting for One Nation.
<On a side note, is it hypocrisy or irony that farmers vote for One Nation but rape the land in order to produce s**t for overseas markets?>

Back to the issue: I would suggest to you Farmer Brown that fires have ravaged bushland, forest etc since Adam was a boy. If you allow residential development close to/in/on the verge of bushland then one of the consequences you have to accept is that sometimes bushfires will burn houses.
I don't have a degree in bushfires but every time we have massive bushfires the primary force that drives their destruction is wind conditions.
I am no expert on wind but I have my doubts that greenies can control the wind, even if they wanted to.

Probably because there’s a lot of them in the general population. Maybe you need to get out of that state forest more.

Statistics drawn from every election would state otherwise.

I've read about 300 of your pathetic 'all farmers are campaigners" rants.
That was little different.
Slightly more humorous than most with 'farmers poisoning the population". LOL.
6/10
Please try harder.

As for your non-existent knowledge of fire.
Just f***ing LOL.
Wind hey??

It can blow it's guts out, but if there is a manageable fuel load a fire can be contained.
It is heat, high fuel load AND wind which creates the uncontrollable fires which we see today.

Furthermore, sunshine, the blackfellas patchwork burned this country for 60,000 years before we got here.
Every single study done on historical fire events, (pre-settlement) indicate absolutely zero fires of the heat and magnitude which we currently face.

So, for the sake of us all, just STFU when you know absolutely nothing about a topic.

So it's not the fault of greenies. I see. We're slowly making progress.

I am not at all surprised that you think it is a joke that farmers are poisoning people.
Something like 80% of all anti-biotics produced WORLDWIDE are used as feed additives.
The alarm bells are starting to ring...e.g. a study found that people who live near a pig farm or a farm that uses pig manure as fertilizer are astronomically more likely to get infected with anti-biotic resistant strains of Staph.

Farmers and their BS advertising, "we don't give hormones"....what they don't want to tell you is that instead of hormones they give anti-biotics by the truckload, keeps the livestock healthy and makes them grow faster.....F the consequences to the consumer.

You do realise that EVERY single carcase classified for human consumption in this country is tested for all levels of herbicide, pesticide, other chemical traces and, yes, anti-biotics.
You sir, are full of s**t.
Anti-biotics are expensive and are only used in the case of a sick beast.
They are NOT a preventative measure.
Go away you farmer hating, lying fool.

Farmer Brown says, "all our meat gets tested, we don't do nuffin. Trust us, the immaculate conception of anti-microbial resistant genes ain't our fault."

In meat FFS!!!

The meat column should give you pause for thought.

10 years. From start to worldwide spread.
Colistin represents one of the few available drugs for treating infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae. As such, the recent plasmid-mediated spread of the colistin resistance gene mcr-1 poses a significant public health threat, requiring global monitoring and surveillance.

Doesn't happen in Australia? BS

Keywords: Significant exposure to antibiotics

Farmer hater posts excerpts from a paper which he clearly doesn't understand.
Shows he knows as much about meat production as he does about fire.

Every single medication in the animal husbandry industry has a witholding period.
As in, you can't slaughter an animal for human consuption prior to the expiry of this period.
If you do, it will show up in fat/liver testing and the carcase will be condemned to blood and bone fertiliser.

Or, perhaps we shouldn't treat sick animals and let them die in agony?
That would give you yet another reason to go on a farmer bashing exercise.

"Australia has one of the most conservative approaches in the world to the use of antimicrobials in food producing animals. Australia is a world leader in minimising the use of antibiotics in food producing animals. "

Look lying farmer hater, just don't eat meat.
No-one will give a s**t.

If the government stopped handing out subsidies to supposedly free market enterprises to prop them up, maybe we would have the funds to pay for free healthcare and education. And guess what, an educated population is generally an innovative one.
Hear, hear.

I'd have at least a grudging respect if the Coalition were unyielding free market ideologues, but unfortunately they are socialists if and when it suits them (but only ever towards their mates and big donors, of course.)

Privatise the profits, socialise the losses. Farkn hypocrites.

Statistics drawn from every election would state otherwise.
What have you been smoking?

Labor believes in govt intervention.

Even the Coalition believes in govt intervention (though, usually for their mates or donors.)

Katter, One Nation believes in govt intervention.

All have some policies that are indistinguishable from classic socialism.

There may not be many individuals or parties successfully standing as socialists per se, but socialism is woven through the very fabric and history of Australian society and politics, across the spectrum from left to (pretend) right.

Read some of Rebecca Huntley's analyses of Australian voters' preferences and mores. Australians want a social democracy, and if not for some voters in regional Queensland, we would have got one back in May.

Oh look Farmer Brown doesn't like facts so he makes up his own.

Nobody said anything about not treating sick animals.

Where have we seen those words before.."best in the world", "conservative approach"...

Maybe you can explain to us what "off-label use" is Farmer Brown?

But but but but anti-biotics are only used to treat sick animals said Farmer Brown...

Almost the funniest comment I have ever read funny thing is you believe it. Guess what without charging tax on anything that moves how do you think they can provide any services. The money comes from those who produce..their incomes/profits are taxed. You believe money grows on trees and the tooth fairy puts sixpence probably $2 now in the jar you left your tooth. Your the only one living in a fantasy world...probably a public servant. Guess where their wages come from..no not the money tree from taxes charged to people /companies that produce. Government is NOT and never will be what makes it great to live in Australia or anywhere else for that Matter. Reducing the size of Government Ie scrap State Govt's would be a bloody good start. Your utopian socialist Government will only take you so far......more likely to the poor house. You poor deluded modern.

Can't half tell you're retired, huh? Can hear this type of waffle from self-righteous old farts at any drinking hole in the country, lefty this, lefty that.

I almost wish your no tax, small government, every man for himself ideal existed - you would be amongst the first eaten alive by the hungry.
