Everyone voted to fill their own cups and to maintain the status quo of borderline outright corruption before they considered any other issue.

I agree it is dispiriting how hard it is to get Australians to vote for a progressive government, specially when the “conservatives” have very little true conservatism to offer, just bullschitte and bastardry.

But there are many, many variables that have come into play since 2007 and don’t forget, Morrison has the slimmest majority that is possible.

This could all change very quickly, particularly if the groundswell of anger that we’re seeing continues to rise.

I did lol at the article about spending 23k on some cameras, such a huge amount of money for a government budget Meanwhile in Victoria they spend 1.7 million of state government funds on advertising for a federal election and everyone thinks that’s alright, even though in the end it was utterly pointless as they had zero effect!

I'm not a climate scientist nor am I member of this government but if I was I'd start by not approving any new coal mines.

they are implementing policies that far exceeds that in terms of effectiveness than germany

we need to start separating the concepts of "action" and "marketing" vs "effectiveness"
