Got a higher per game average than anybody else in that top ten!
Needs to play another seven years to make a genuine comparison to Harvey.
Most of those above him have lesser averages yes, but as you get older the averages go down as you are moved out of the guts into a forward support role.
That brings those averages down.

If I had a choice Id take 350 games from Pendlebury over 430 games from Harvey.

Brent that is!!!!!

Pendlebury far superior to Boomer.

Interesting the 400 club.

Harvey B
Tuck
Bartlett
Fletcher

Only really Bartlett is classified (in my view) uber elite.

Tuck on A grade; Fletcher and Harvey the B+ levels.

Bartlett stands alone in that club on pure status of a player.

Pendles by his own admission does not run fast enough to do a soft tissue injury. So for that reason I say he has another 5 or so seasons, I doubt he’ll break the games record. He’s damaging because of his skills and brain and for that reason he will be effective until his death as a footballer. Can play forward too when he can’t run anymore.

Tony Shaw in the top 10 with less games than anyone else sans Pendles

He's not a champers man

If you listen to his podcast, Jock and Journo, Pendlebury always hints that he has plenty in the tank. He also mentioned that the captaincy has become a lot easier since Maxwell came back, does a lot of the legwork for Pendles and Bucks apparently.

Probably our second best player this year after Grundy. He needs another flag before retirement.

It's going to be interesting at the half way mark of the Brownlow count this year.

By my calculations he could easily have 12/13 votes by now which would put him right up near the top on the leader board.

I suspect that he will attract more votes than Grundy as he's always polled well and as we know in recent years ruckman not so much.

The amazing thing about Pendles and that all time possessions list is that he rarely gets mammoth totals in a single game. His record is 42 and that's the only time he's topped 40.

His consistency is incredible. Since Round 3 2012, which is 158 games ago, he's had less than 20 possessions in just 5 games. And in 3 of those games he was injured, so there's only really twice that he's failed to get to 20. Absolutely incredible.

Also, this has reminded me of the fact that Dane Swan only failed to top the list of the highest disposal average in history for a complete career because he got injured in the first few minutes of his last game before he'd touched the ball.

If it had happened after he'd got his 9th possession he would have toppled Greg Williams.

Top 3 all time Collingwood player
Big big call.

He’s very very very good. Uber elite.

Top 3? Gee that’s mega big call.

I am guilty of calling out his so called demise actually a few years ago and numerous times over the past couple of years I thought his days were drawing to a close but like the true champion he is he shat all over my opinion and made me feel stupid. I'd happily extend him another 2 year contract on this year's form and I think we are far from seeing the last of him now... he really did play under duress and it wasn't age like most of us feared and he still has plenty in the tank.

If he plays every game now until his 300th I think its 300 in round 23 against Essendon? That's what they said on Jock and Jurno.
If he’s on 288 then he needs 12 games and Collingwood has played 11 so that another 11 left of home and away hence 300 on first final.

As remember round 13 is our bye.

Be a terrific achievement.
