Seriously, one of the best Collingwood players of all time. Oozes class. There's not much more you can say about him. Oh, his other half is also one of the better WAGs in the AFL too.

Pendles prepares for 200 games

Just needs that Brownlow he so richly deserves.

I was waiting for the Collingwood site to put something up, because it basically confirms he will play this week, and play his 200th game.

Will end up playing over 300 I reckon, could even go close to Shaw's games record for us.

Absolute legend of our football club, has won every award that matters in the game.:)

I remember when he was drafted he was compared to Nick DalSanto.

Has all of his positive attributes and none of his weaknesses.

Superstar!

Best player in the competition. Hope we rest him if he is as sore as he was on the weekend, want to see a healthy Pendles kill it on his 200th.

Will be at his best till he is 35 in the same way Sam Mitchell has held up. 300+ games, Surely the brownlow medal he deserved in 2011/2013(with Swan winning it in 2010 obviously) and most importantly premiership captain.

It's a shame he probably won't ever win a Brownlow. Would love to be proven wrong though.

Brownlow is the most overrated award In footy nowadays. Who cares if he never wins one. I'm sure he will rate his Norm Smith in a winning premiership side higher than anything else.

Plus he'll make it 6 straight All Australians at the end of this year.

Legend alright.

Hopefully we have a big win for his 200th just like we did for Bucks in 2002 (108 points vs Carlton - what a night! Incidentally the last time Presti kicked a goal lol).

Pendles is an absolute champion, not only of the club but of the league. Will win his 4th B&F and 6th AA this year. A more consistently brilliant player you will not find.

As ridiculous it may sound I reckon the whole Pendle's injury (niggle) is all about him missing GCS game and having it at home in front of 60k v Norf at the G?

You're right that does sound pretty ridiculous :D

A damn shame we haven't got 5 more of him.

In all fairness, we'd be an even slower side if we did.

What's incredibly scary (not for us necessarily) is to think how good he'd be if he had legitimate leg speed. Yikes. He'd basically be banned from playing AFL for being too good.

With a brain as quick as his you don't need speed. Never been an issue for pendles.

Joins an elite list. These are the only Collingwood players to play their 200th game as captain of the club:

Jock McHale - 1913
Dick Lee - 1921
Syd Coventry - 1933
Harry Collier - 1939
Phonse Kyne - 1948
Lou Richards - 1959
Wayne Richardson - 1975
Tony Shaw - 1988
Gavin Brown - 1997
Nathan Buckley - 2002
Nick Maxwell - 2014
Scott Pendlebury - 2015?

Pretty hard to get a better list of names than that.

Have also worked out that I have attended every one of those games that have occurred in my lifetime (that's from Shaw onwards). As robertg22 mentioned, Bucks' 200th (or Bucks' Party as I like to call it) was one of the best times I have ever had at a footy match. Thrashing Carlton with Presti sneaking forward for a last quarter goal and Bucks himself slotting one of the best tight angle set shots you could hope to see made it a night to remember.

I'll be at the Gold Coast this week so hopefully Pendles is cherry ripe and makes it an occasion befitting his stature at the Club and in the game in general. The man is an absolute legend.

Pendles is a ghost, nobody can put a hand on him. The time he seems to have when he has the ball continues to amaze me.
You are a star Pendles, well done on the first 200 games, hopefully the next 150 will be just as enjoyable to watch.
