Pendlebury - my favourite non-Essendon player at the moment. Watson and Pendlebury would be an awesome combination.
Pendlebury is ahead of Jobe at the moment but only because he has a better team around him and has had a better run at it injury wise this year. Pendlebury with Watson, Hocking and Lonergan in the middle too would mean that we'd win at least 80% of clearances. This though is why we don't need him, as silly as that sounds for a player so good. We need a quick player who can work in tight and use the ball on the outside. Marc Murphy is probably the perfect player for us. He'd finish off the great work of Watson, Hocking and Lonergan and take all the pressure of Stanton.

What Essendon needs to do this year is get that O'Mera fella or whatever his name is as a 17 year old. Then get Joe Daniher as a father-son the following year. We'll have the chance to put a lot of work into their bodies to get them right for their debut season in 2013.

Of course our first rounder this year will probably be a midfielder too.

While I do love to dream, as many here would testify, our chances of getting Pendles off the Magpies would be more difficult than getting Mick as an assistant coach for next year.

Both are good players, but somehow, I think that Pendles would turn out to be the one to swing an outcome in close games. And for those with a short memory, Pendles was the one who won that game against the Cats, but the umpire took it off him.

To be fair everybody stopped so if the umpire didn't blow the whistle he may very well of got tackled as varco i think was in front of him.

Pendlebury for our list specifically, we need the superior skills more than we need the extra inside work from Selwood. If it was for a 'blank list from scratch' then I'd rate them about equal.
