FMD, get a grip people.

Parks etc being shut is an absolute disgrace.

The power has gone to Dictator Dan's head and he needs to meet a bigger flight of stairs asap.

Well IF Idiots did what they are Told and Use Common Sense then Dan does not have to do this sort of Thigns

This is the point he's making TD.
Because certain communities are not abiding by the rules his, (and all) kids have been penalised.
He would understandably be frustrated as he and Alex would have to follow stricter than most protocols I'd imagine.

At least Pendles didn’t take part in the pub crawl on Saturday.

True jmac, he’s still in the AFL hub, that restrictive construct which has allowed him to keep doing what he loves and gets paid a lot for - injuries permitting. He is subject to some of the strictest protocols going around, and they’ve worked to date. Does he question them too? Bit selective of him.

Can't imagine why the parent of young children is upset about being stuck inside with them now :p

He should really be helping Jax with his hands in close, and perhaps his passes to a leading target.

I believe Dan because he’s taking expert advice. But if you reckon there’s no scientific basis to shut down the playgrounds I’m willing to listen if you can explain what that is.

Interestingly, right towards the end of today’s press conference (I had it on in the background whilst continuing working) Jeroen dropped quite a nugget in response to a reporter’s whiny question on this very subject. In this outbreak we have had an instance of a child passing it to another at a playground. Reporter asked him again if that was correct and was it outside, not inside and Jeroen just went “yes” in his no bullshit manner. Let’s see if we get anymore detail in coming days however this will go a long way to explaining the no playground rule, along with removing the loophole of “excercising” that some parents were using to gather or congregate in parks.

There were large groups of parents gathering at my local park yesterday. Most had their masks down and some were drinking.

Ironically Robinson Crusoe would be well equipped to handle Covid lockdown

I went to the athletics track last week after work, illegally actually as it was within 5km of my essential work but not within 5km of home. Anyway, while exercising I counted 33 people within the fence of the athletics track, and I reckon along with myself there were probably another 10 who were actually exercising. I was trying to run intervals while people stood around talking, played kick to kick with a footy, or just walked in the wrong direction around the inside lane of the track listening to music and holding hands. It was pretty infuriating as I tried to weave between them, and there was nary a mask to be seen (which of course makes perfect sense for those actually exercising).

It's a good point you make TD.
His kids are 2 and 4 I think, so I'm not sure they're in the super spreader category, (it's the Parents).
I have seen Parents with sanitiser cleaning equipment before their kids touch it.
They then clean their hands when they leave.

I thought they all might have by the way they played Saturday

Definitely not. We are a very covid responsible club. You could see it by the way we panicked whenever a Brisbane tackler was within 2 metres.

Blokes allowed to have an opinion outside of footy - just like everyone here.

Didn't say anything wrong to jeopardise sponsors - and if that does jeopardise any sponsorship... then f%^ me worlds gone mad

Even when his Idea put people's lives at Risk?

I thought he'd be smart enough to not comment on social media, regardless of his views.

Don't have an issue with either his comment, or his right to express it. His only mistake was suggesting that closing playgrounds was solely a consequence of the engagement party rather than the behaviour of Melbournian's more broadly.
