Pendles still has Amazing Games but this Season he starting to have some just Average Games and Yesterday he played his Worst Game for over a Decade.

Still has years left but you can see he getting near the End of his Career

I think he is carrying something. Was in AA form up until a couple of games back.

He's definitely carrying an an jury to his left lower limb. You can notice a slight limp when he runs. It's affecting his kicking.

Off the top of my head two stand out. The 2010 replay is obvious. Our first Norm Smith winner in a winning side in two decades, and it basically became the start of his ascension into greatness. Seemed to be a perennial Copeland winner and All-Australian after that.

When I think about games I saw in person, the 2011 Anzac Day match by him was a clinic. He looked a grade above everyone else that day. 34 disposals, 3 goals, 8 tackles and 8 clearances. I don't think I've ever seen a more complete performance live. He doesn't hit the scoreboard as much these days, but given how much quarterbacking he does every stoppage I think he's allowed!

Also hard to forget his somewhat infamous pigeon bounce. When it's all said and done (I don't think he's going to retire for another 3 years, so we've got some time before that!) I think he will sit above all Collingwood men not named Jock McHale

The 2007 finals series was the breakout for both Pendles and Daisy. His "hand of god" steal was priceless as was his vision to send Swanny home against the Eagles.

I think Buckley and Swan both had better individual seasons, but for longevity Pendlebury pips them. It's a shame Buckley and Swan's careers were cut short due to injury, because I think both could have slotted into the forward line nicely. Back to Pendlebury though his consistency is elite and for mine coupled with his no fuss style there's no doubt it's cost him a couple of AA gongs and potentially a Brownlow.

Being only Wednesday there's still time, but I'm disappointed that there hasn't been more publicity on Pendlebury's achievement from the broader media. It really is a remarkable achievement when you consider Collingwood's history. I haven't done the sums on our formative years, however on a quick glance it appears since at least 1907 only 4 players have held the club record.

Since 2009, he’s made the AA squad every year except 2017 probably cause it’s the only time he didn’t play 20+ games in that period.

He’s averaged 28.1 disposals since 2008.

I think Pendlebury was stiff not to make the final AA 22 in 2015 over Fyfe, Dangerfield, Mundy, Gray and especially Deledio (18 games, 27 goals, 300 odd less possessions as a half forward) and same could be said for Swan missing in '15. In terms of 2016 there wasn't much between Pendlebury and Selwood and he probably should have had Sloane and Boyd covered. That said there were other mids including Treloar who had better years and missed in 2016.

The best game I can recall seeing him play was actually in close game which we actually ended up losing. Against the Hawks in Round 14, 2015.

I only ever get to 1 or 2 games a year generally and this was one of them. I believe it was Maynard and Moore's first game, and possibly even the night after hearing of Phil Walsh's passing.

He had 37 touches, 10 tackles, 9 clearances and more or less carried us against a team which ended up winning the flag that year. Everything he did was unbelievable, in fact Bucks may have even said post game that it was the best game he'd seen him play.

What irks me is every year for the last 5 or so years, when someone compiles a list of the top 5-10 players they go straight for the Dangerfield, Fyfe, Martins. Pendlebury is hardly ever mentioned.

In fact if you ask people who has had the better career out of Pendlebury and Martin, a lot of people would say Martin. He (Martin) has won 2 norm smith medals, 2 flags, a Brownlow... a great player and a great career thus far. But Pendles, as you say, has done this for ten years before Martin peaked in 2017. And he's still going strong. I'd much rather Pendles' career, accolades aside.

And I've got no doubt he'll be a senior coach for 10+ years as well.

Martin is certainly flashy and eye catching... and an exceptional footballer.

I think with Pendlebury he would get more accolades if he averaged more than 0.6 goals a game... in the way that Martin averages 1.1, Dangerfield 1.1, and Ablett 1.3... this would make him more noticeable.

Handballs: 2nd, 18 behind Gary Ablett Jr.
Tackles: 4th (1 off third(GAJ), about a hundred off first (Priddis))
Inside 50s: 14th
Clearances: 10th
Clangers: Not in the Top 30. Ablett, Martin and Selwood are all top 10 and Danger is 11th. Considering the sheer number of times he has disposed of the Sherrin, this is particularly impressive in my opinion.
Contested Possessions: 7th
Uncontested Possessions: 6th
Goal Assists: 7th

Given that he looks to have years of high-level performance left in him, I think he will be the handballingest, tacklingest, statistically most impressive player ever by the end of his career.
