Needed much more support tonight. With no Sidebottom and no Treloar the dogs were able to target him more closely.

Not really happy with Pendlebury’s defensive efforts lately. He showed [PLAYERCARD]Lachie Neale[/PLAYERCARD] no respect and let him run loose.

Is this an instruction by Buckley? Pendlebury still and elite user of the ball and maybe he backs Pendlebury to be more damaging than his loose opponent. It’s a fair risk to take but Pendlebury is slowing down and can’t really play another position on the ground well other than midfield.

One of our all time greats I believe we are just starting to see the beginnings of the end for Pendles and I mean that in the nicest way possible. He is still a champ and still capable of doing the amazing on the football field but, we need to be very smart in the way we use him now.

Will still play next year as well in my view.

I think he will spend more time forward, but still go through the midfield in important moments. No one better with ball in hand in our team yet still, certainly when in traffic.

Still our best non-rucking mid, and will probably be for the remainder of the season.

Would like to see him play more as a half-forward and get Daicos in the middle. Pendlebury might actually organise the half-dozen headless chickens we have running around inside our 50. Don't think he'll retire until 2022 unless we miraculously pull a flag out of our arse this year

Wing for me. I wish we'd stop playing our NQRs on the wing - as it's the only place they can perform - and start looking for attacking options there. The problem is that we have too many NQRS.

Why would Pendlebury retire when he is still playing so well as compared to the rest of his colleagues.

At the very least so long as Marc Murphy is on a list Pendlebury should be as well.

Honestly it infuriates me, wing is too important position to carry spuds. Teams can get away with a couple of shit truck small forwards but anywhere in the midfield you have be providing.
