As we all know from his quotes in the addy a couple of weeks ago...SS had decided not to try for AFL again in 2010, but to instead study full time and play at Frankston in the VFL. So I was shocked to see his name on the list of ND nominations today.

Assuming this is not a misprint, I wonder what is going on? Has he received a guarantee from another club to change his mind? or maybe we've even said we'll look at re-drafting him?

Don't quote me on this, but i think when you originally nominate for the draft you are nominated in that draft plus the next two drafts. I'm not sure if us drafting him took him off the list, but that scenario is my best bet.

I don't think so, given he said:
"I'm not nominating for the draft," he said.
"I'm just living back home in Mt Eliza and talking to a few VFL clubs but haven't decided on one yet. I've had a few meetings and I think that's my level at the moment.

which seems pretty unequivocal to me.

So maybe Andre is right in that it's an auto thing and he's not really nominated. Otherwise he must have got an iron clad offer to change his mind.http://www.geelongbride.com.au/
