Hopefully minimal bicep curls and any sort of weights. Probably could lose a couple of Kg's off his guns alone let alone the rest of his body. We are in an era where speed and endurance > strength, even if your playing in the guts.

He has been getting the job done for a long time, deserves the 300 game feather in his cap.

I don't see him slowing down any time soon

...he can't get any slower

one time he was running on the beach, and i timed him and when he ran past me i said "9/12" and he said "really? 9.12 isn't a bad time for the 3km run!" and i said, "no, you started running on 5/12!"

I was watching a 2009 game against Geelong last night and it was startling that Thommo was almost unrecognisable due to being a "normal" shape! Nowadays, he is a tank. However, he was in the best players then, as he is now, especially in the recent Hawthorn final where his big body was the one best suited to stand up against the bullies in a finals situation.

The mix of our players in that match was also unusual: lots of nearly-finished oldies (Mcleod, Goodwin, Edwards, etc) and lots of green youngsters (Tippett, Dangerfield, Tex, Petrenko, Mackay, etc).
The most startling observation, apart from Thommo's shape, was Mackay. He was also unrecognisable: he was the same shape as today, but played extremely well, totally on the outside, running and carrying, kicking multiple goals, etc., in professional fashion. He didn't look like getting tackled: not a ragdoll in sight! What has happened??

Guess you didn't have to worry about being able to run away from his right hook?

This thread is endorsed by my wife.

No slagging off at Thommo, but if you do, it's not Thommo you'll have to worry about. My wife will hunt you down, she will find you, and you really don't wanna know the rest.

Does she look like Jen Hawkins ? Then I'm all for what punishment she wants to dish out.

It's a re-appropriated joke from a Mad magazine circa 1988 RE the Rocky films - about how slow his running was because all his training montages were in slow-mo. Do you remember this completely obscure reference, or are you talking about Thommo decking me? :D
