So who comes in to take Massie's position as a mid-sized defender? And what better midfield options do the Crows have to replace Doughty?

Burton to midfield, Welsh to FP.

Also the midfield got shat on today but when they did have the ball there was noone to kick to, our midfield is overpopulated and forward line is underpopulated.

No it was a midfield problem today...couldn't blame the forwards entirely

That's what i'm trying to say but IMHO we severely lacked marking options in our offensive half of the ground thus bringing back Welsh could be a good idea.

If the forward line's the concern, why would you remove the one guy who's looking particularly dangerous?

Bulldust.

VB was one of our better players today.

BUt Welshy must return.

And FFS lets bring in Douglas.

I am sick of the same players letting us down in pressure matches.

When will Bode actually kick a goal when the pressure is on!!!!!!!

So hes the only one that missed a easy shot today birdbrain missed 2

Welsh was impressive today. Moved well, good strong hands in conditions less than perfect. The good forward play of Welsh and Passador was just about the only highlight of today's game. Welsh deserves a chance to be in the side and that will give flexibility for Ricciuto or Burton to be run through the midfield.

Jericho confirmed he should be delisted. Got beaten easily by McKenzie when he was playing Centre Half Forward. Played ok when put on to the wing in the second half and was able to roam free to do as he pleased. He just isn't hard enough to be a good player.

Bonaddio is an average reserves player. He'll go to.

I hope Skipworth and Bock enjoyed the plane trip over to Perth. Surely these two players in particular would've been better off with some match practice?

Can you drop Scott Stevens and move McGregor back to defense please. Stevens is bloody ordinary, any other team hed have ten kicked on him each week and McGregor is not a forwards bumhole, its like McPharlin at Freo. It isnt working.

The problem today was not leading it was the fact you couldnt take a contested mark (besides the footballing god Brett Burton). Hentschell McGregor cant do that. I dont think Welsh is the answer. Id say you miss Perrie more then Welsh right now.

The strategy Neil Craig and the AFC brain trust is trying to use has worked so far, 14 wins and 3 losses after 17 rounds leaving us with 56 points and a percentage of 155.56 % isn’t to shabby either.

So you gave us an old fashion arse whooping but that doesn’t mean we have to go and make whole sale changes. If for some reason Collingwood do the same thing to us next week, then it would be time to seriously look at our set up but until that happens, we will stay with what has worked up until today.

Thanks for your concern.

How many matches have you seen the Crows play this season, Embers? About two?

If Contested marks are a problem, McHregor has proven over the last 4-5 years that he is the best contested mark on our team. Stevens has been good and despite the side getting trashed together, he is one of only a small handful that didn't disgrace himself.

A fair few actually. How Stevens plays ahead of Bock is pretty embarassing IMO. Stevens has the intensity of a rotting carcas.

But that our ratting caucus, Nathan Bock been injured and Scott Steven (not sure how:confused: ) has performed adequately to keep his position in the side.

Birdbrain also kicked three goals and looked dangerous - he was our only forward.

He also kicked 7 goals last week.

So what have you thought of Bock so far this season?

Well hes been injured, but why fly him over for and sit him in the stands.

Im sure if you lined up every CHF in the game and asked if theyd rather play on Stevens or Bock, 99 out of 100 would say Bock.

And you wonder why he was left out?

I think you meant to say it the other way round, 99 out 100 would rather play ion Scott Stevens. :thumbsu:

Burton kicks more pressure goals than Bode & is a genuine matchwinner, unlike Bode.

So the Eagles never have their emergencies travel to the game for insurance?
They do, but it was strange my AFC to fly over 2 emergencies. Surely 1 would be enough. I think we had a few players under a injury cloud & we played them ... which backfired. This a different policy to the past.
